Looking for some cheap suction? £39.99 seems a bargain to me and should be great for sucking up your dirty mess.

I decided to sell my vacuum cleaner - well, it's only been collecting dust.:)

Did it suck at its job....?

don't know the difference. Same price but higher … don't know the difference. Same price but higher RRPhttp://www.homebargains.co.uk/products/9374-bissell-powerforce-vacuum-cleaner-pet.aspx

that's a pet one the other one is just a normal one

Bought two of the blue pet one (for two households) seems like they no longer sell the 400aw ones. All the ones in Argos are more expensive and only 300aw so this is pretty good deal.

No prob mate, according to the Beeb news today it's the start of a ban on various high output electrical goods, apparently next are lawn mowers, kettles then hair dryers (the hair dressers federation are up in arms, lol).

It's supposed to be part of the wider issue of tackling climate change, rather then targeting consumers:

Got mine £66:3,they had a fantastic £200 off last month(somebody did post on here)It is the bees knees, the dogs, well you know.
Funny thing is i havent got any pets, my daughters have long hair hence the pet version+ icing on cake with regards to the 5 year limited warranty;)

Thanks Slickafoe, just wanted a tried and tested opinion, before buying

Main doubt was, this being 400W and the banned ones being 1.5k-2kW, will it be any good being 1/5 of the power.

This looks very similar to the Sainsbury's own brand vacuum, same price, that I purchased only recently... Good for the money, decent suction and reasonably well built. The Sainsbury's model has a nice turbo attachment. Why pay hundreds of pounds on a vacuum eh?

You are confusing " air power " with motor load.

I got the same Bissel C3 yesterday and its fab, really powerful, bargain!

In the very near future you will be fined £60 for using your evil hoover(over 1600 watts),an amnesty will of course be set up and a dustpan and brush offered in the place of your illegal machinery.

bought one direct fron bissell and it is really good.

Can anyone who has bought this, tell me the model no. of this vacuum cleaner please???

Ah, the wonders of British media brainwashing. It's interesting that only the Brits think that banning power hungry vacuum cleaners is a bad thing. Most other European nations think that these changes are good. There are several reasons for this:
- High power consumption does not equal good cleaning (The new rules will save 19 terawatt-hour per year by 2020, which is the electricity produced by more than 4 power plants or consumed by 5.5 million households.)
- Energy saving, reduced bills, better for environment: win, win, win
- Many of the changes introduced were introduced with the support of the UK government

Please remember that there is always more than one side to every story. In this case you can read it here: blogs.ec.europa.eu/reb…ver

Model number is 1292-B. Have only used it once, but I'm more than happy for the price.

That's a joke. More profits for shareholders more like.

What size pipe are the attachments, I bought a Turbo Brush with a 32mm pipe and its too small, it seems the Bissell 1291/1292 attachments have a larger diameter pipe. Anyone know the size, or where to find a converter?

Since posting I seem to of found a lot of 35mm pipe attachments, I'm going to guess it must be 35mm and going with this adapter;
