You need to use the link on here for the price

Windows Defender is free ...
Go with Kaspersky
It's also showing £30 for me … and I did use the link. Could you post it in the comments so I can double-check it?
So many decent free progs for protection now.. Why are people still paying?? 🤔🤔
£30 for me too when follow link
What's wrong with Bitdefender FREE version?

PS. ** At your own risk ** does your computer equipment flag this link as dodgy? If not, you need Bitdefender.

Bitdefender is constantly recognised as the best A/V product you can buy. With best performance against zero day attacks and ransomware.
^^^^ True. BitDefender & Kaspersky at top of AV suites in latest independant tests:

av-comparatives.org/

McAfee & Windows Defender performance rated as woeful

As BritishDragon points out, supporting data has already been provided. Just because something does the same job, it doesn't mean it does it to the same standard.

Never heard of so much bull in all my life. AV is only as good as the person using the PC, if you have no common sense then your PC will get a virus no matter what AV you use, fact!
I have never had any AV other than Windows Defender since it was released and not once had a virus. I’m afraid this is scaremongering tactics at its finest by the industry so they can make money out of gullible consumers.

Fair enough. That's what many people say just before they take their computer to the repair shop to have all the viruses removed. The very best of luck to you.

If we go along with this notion even if for mere comedy value, then it also stands to reason then, the 'numpty' using the p.c. will encounter fewer viruses, and fewer incidences of virus attacks by using a suite that fairs best at detecting such threats. Surely that's the a good thing, no?

I kind of agree. I'm not sure my kids are as discerning as me when clicking links online though!
