You get some drill bits with it too plus it seems more powerful - even though it's tesco's own brand (I just hope an impact drill is the same as a hammer action drill) for the same low price of £10.97 delivered!

Then it probably isn't even reversable. Not very good. VERY basic.

Hi,
Impact drills are better for some things.

AFAIK true impact drills hammer the drill in the direction of the drill (radially)rather than hammer hitting from on top. Hope thats clear.

Some techy knowitall will no doubt describe it using better terminology.:) (Come on you guys)

They can screw screws directly into concrete (if you get the right screws)

I ordered this on Friday all ok, however I have just checked my email and my order has been refunded.... no idea why.. however they have refunded me £20.30 !!! instead of the £10.97
