This is a fantastic show! If you liked Father Ted, you'd like this. If you like Bill Bailey, you'd like this. If you like comedy, you'd like this!

Cheapest elsewhere is over £17...

Details: All three series of the multi-award winning and critically acclaimed comedy from Channel 4, Black Books.
Black Books centres around the foul tempered and wildly eccentric bookshop owner Bernard Black (Dylan Moran). Bernard's devotion to the twin pleasures of drunkenness and wilful antagonism deepens and enriches both his life and that of Manny (Bill Bailey), his assistant. Bearded, gentle, sweet and good, Manny is everything that Bernard isn't and is punished by Bernard relentlessly just for the crime of existing. They depend on each other for meaning as Fran (Tasmin Greig), their oldest friend, depends on them for distraction.
Black Books is a haven of books, wine and conversation, the only threat to the group's peace and prosperity is their own limitless stupidity.

One of my fave episodes was where the shop/house was really dirty and Manny was eating scrambled egg out of a shoe with a comb!

I haven't seen this series yet [another one to watch at some point ]

His stand up comedy is pretty funny though [Bill Bailey].

Yeah, I have one of the stand up shows. There was one bit in particular where he did the mastermind theme tune in lots of different styles.... can't remember them exactly, but they wer fun The Dylan Moran stand ups are good as well. He's the star of the Black Books series.

I think you'd like these as well Ray.

Oh this series is brilliant....I got this for Xmas last year from a friend...highly recommended  a little surreal in places but that's how I like my humour :giggle: after the Spaced boxset I really wanted to get this

Manny stripping the chicken...hilarious...also Bernard trying to hurt himself so as not to do his tax returns then makes his receipts into a fashionable jacket...:w00t: fetch me my lolly!

I think I'm gonna dig this out and watch again :-D

I'm hoping to get Bill Bailey - Part Troll for Christmas....Kraftwerk homage - The Hokey Cokey

They are the kind of ones you can watch over again. I loved the one where they wrote the children's book - it was class!
