Same price in B&Q. Bought it last year for around £25 good saw . Wondering why price has gone up so much.
I think this and the Bosch equivalent which is also often quite cheap both use different proprietary blades that are quite expensive (Bosch ones seem to be £10+ each).
I have one of the Bosch ones, it's a nice saw, but I think I'd look at a generic reciprocating saw if I was replacing it, or perhaps even when I need a new blade - probably something like this...
No idea of the quality, but reviews look good..

I think I actually bought mine from Amazon and it was sub £25.
Good saw though and saved my wife a lot of work. ;-)

It could do with a new large blade though, if anyone sees those cheap.

Come on now!

We all know prices have gone up because of Brexit

In a nutshell, because interest rates are so low.
Used one of these when building my extension last year. Great bit of kit.
thanks for this
That's not a reciprocating saw.
Been £38 a bit.

Bought one a month ago to remove some small trees (Conifers) and then take the stump below the ground ready for weed membrane and gravel. Does cut through wood very well. Takes a while to cut through than say with a chainsaw but much safer (I'd likely have my arm off if I ever tried to use one of them things)

Replacement blades are relatively expensive but with light use a blade would last a long time anyway

Agreed, save me saying it
I have a cheap one of these reciprocating saws and initially was not very happy but then i have a big job building a railway sleeper wall and used my cheap one to cut through the sleepers....with care and not too much pressure i managed to cut over 50 sleepers and then still pruned my peach and pear tree with absolutely no problem, all with one blade which is still cutting very well..I would vote this as hot but the price has been much much lower than this.
I bought this saw about 10 years back with a b&d drill in a case for the daft price of £30 from Argos.
It saws through anything, including a tree trunk that snapped in the wind.
Still going strong and still on its original blade!
