The basket is a pain, it fills up quickly as the moss collects at the front of it rather than the back and it gets in the way if there are any objects at the edge of your lawn. If you take the basket off, it will launch the moss into your flower beds.

I'd recommend one of the scarifiers/lawn rakes that collects it in a basket behind the machine or one that deposits the moss/thatch on the ground behind the machine, then go over it with a lawn mower to pick it up.

Briefly hit the £49.95 price 2 years ago according to the price tracker, however its the current price that's, relevant, as many things used to be cheaper in the past

I have this and agree the basket is a pain but overall it’s an amazing piece of kit. Highly recommended

Agree about the basket. I just take it off and get my son to go around the lawn with rake!

I have this, awesome little bit of kit. Can’t remember how much I paid but well worth the money, you’ll be amazed how much stuff comes up.

I got this for £55 in B&M a couple of years back. Its actually a very good piece of kit. But the basket needs frequent emptying, I can go the width of my lawn twice.

By the way, its excellent for doing lawn striping.

I have a different make but which also suffers from the same drawback, ie it gathers far too much thatch for the basket to handle. So I don't use the basket but simply rake up the loose thatch after use. You will need something like a builders bag to contain it all, such is the volume of thatch produced, as mentioned previously.
