Wouldn't that woman have been better just drawing a pencil line on the wall to line up the pictures, then rubbing it out again, instead of banging a nail in the wall to mount the laser level, taking it off to line up the picture (because that looks easier than a regular spirit level), and then trying to put it back on at exactly the same angle again. Stupid way of doing things.

Just measure a the height from each step on the stairs (if you want the angle the same as the stairs)... can also use step edge/centres to have equal spacing too. Or, just mount the first 2 and use a straight edge from them.
