Just a cautionary note. It's a cheap detector for good reason. The max depth for a copper pipe detection is 25mm. Even mains wiring its 50mm. Many people drill beyond this depth, so if you are going to rely on this device, please fit a depth limiter to your drill to prevent drilling deeper.

As above, hubby's got one and thinks he wasted his money. He recons even those depths are 'optimistic'.
