So tempted to get this, just unsure whether i'd be better off waiting for the 3DS to come out in the next year...

Heat/rep, fantastic deal

I already have a DS, but if I didn't I'd find this deal irresistible, regardless of the 3DS being released later this year / next year. 70 quid with a game that is easily worth 15 pounds or more on its own is great, even after the 3DS comes out it's nice to have a spare system in case the battery runs out or something.

Decided to take the plunge shortly after posting my message, however tesco.com seems to force you to sign up for an account, and then forces you to sign up for a clubcard too, that puts me off
Dont really want all their junk mail and crap... ugh

Ugh, after going through their terrible registration process...

I will happily take your mail off you. You say junk, I say clubcard vouchers and money off.

Was under the impression one of the reasons why so many stores have these loyalty schemes and insist on collecting all your personal data was so they could sell on these details to other marketing companies to mail you a buncha crap ;/

Nope. Tesco keep your invaluable data to themselves, sell it and they lose their edge. They didn't become the most successful supermarket by having the lowest prices because they don't, they did it by knowing your purchasing habits better than you know them yourself.

Every time you buy something with a clubcard it's recorded and sent to the supercomputer at head office where it's processed against every other purchase you've ever made, and your neighbours, and people who tend to shop at the same time as you, and it builds up a complex picture of demographics which they use to target marketing, shelf placements, special offers. It's rare for a human to make an important decision these days, the machine rules all.
