Black Friday BT mobile sim only deal for BT broadband users

Found 26th Nov 2015
If anyone is with BT broadband and they are looking for a good SIM only deal BT are offering a discount on their already good BT mobile contacts. Yesterday I got 2Gb data, 500 minutes talk time and unlimited texts for £8 a month.

BT are offering a good deal on BT Mobile, not O2
£8 seems reasonable but it is unclear if you take it out as a BT broadband customer and then move to another provider if the price stays the same.

it would seem likely it does, however if they did hike it you can always leave them

The discount of £5 p/m applies whilst you're still a broadband customer. If you leave BT for your broadband service then your monthly line rental will rise by £5 p/m for the remainder of your mobile contract. OR so I was told when taking my mobile sim contract with them last month. I just renewed my broadband at the same, as I got a good deal on both combined.

Cheers OP, went for it.
Why so cold? Seems like a good deal to me.
Looks good to me, even offering amazon gift card plus there's quidco to be had
can't understand why this is cold. If you're a BT customer, effective cost is about £3/month (after TCB and amazon £20)

I thought £8 was good. How do you get it for £3 a month?

8*12 = 96. But you get £20 amazon voucher (look for small icon below deal) and top cashback of 36.75. So net:
96 - 56.75 = 39.25
39.25 / 12 = £3.27 per month

Brilliant. Never used top cash back. I used to use QuidCo, I will peruse further, as this sounds excellent, much better than my current GiffGaff deal.
