If the jackets are anything like the suit, the chest size is very big but other dimensions are not. I usually take a large and had to get an XL. The large was a little tight round the crotch and neck. I'm 5ft 10, average build.
Unless you're coughing up £500+ for top of the range/gortex type motorcycle jacket and trousers then items like these are a must have IMHO
Don't be fooled by over-hyped jargon on most standard motorcycle jacket and trousers especially where it mentions waterproof layer. Most will still get wet, on the outside, and not repel as much rain like real outer waterproof clothing will. The standard motorcycle jacket and trousers will hold the rain and take ages to dry where proper waterproof clothing just shake and most will disappear
