Needed a high speed card reader and ordered one of these today, which seemed cheap as chips for what it is.

There are other no name models around for the same kind of price but the number of positive reviews made my mind up for me.

Supports Next-Generation Memory CardsSDHC (UHS-I), SDXC (UHS-I), microSDHC (UHS-I), microSDXC (UHS-I)

Dual slot to possibly host both a full size and microSD card at the same time? (Update - It is not absolutely implicitly confirmed whether both can be used at the same time but user experience tends to suggest not).

Up to 90Mb/s read and 60Mb/s write according to the blurb.

Good spot.

That's cost me a whole 45p. One less Mars Bar this weekend

3.0 usb card readers much cheaper on eBay by half the price of this or more. Infact got mine for £1.20 tested with my Samsung Pro Plus 128gb with crystal disk mark and achieved it's full speed, and as you probably know it's one of the fastest cards on the market.

If you specifically want this card reader then custom pc are doing an offer of five issues for a fiver with this reader free.

If you're interested reply and I'll find the promo code.

Got any links, and does that work for all the same media as this one?

All the ones half price on ebay from UK sellers only support up to 64Gb cards and none seem to mention uhs-i.

If you do have a link to one that has the same capabilities for half the price then I'd love to know so that I can order one.

l purchased mine form Jimshop168 Hong Kong the list is now finished, but a quick search on Ebay show other sellers, and they suppport the same madia as the above.

I've done more than a quick search and there are none with the same spec, so if you can show one then I'm interested.

The code changes monthly but it's always the letter D followed by the year and month in two digit format then the type of magazine offer you want (D=Digital, P=Print, B = Both) e.g. this month is D1610B which is both print and digital (IOS only for digital I'm afraid)

I can never follow why but this one is allegedly October's issue (hence the 10) so if you need a new card reader and like the magazine (or even don't as it's still cheaper then try that code at custom pc.

Just to note that when I tried it I had to ring up and give them the code over the phone as the site refused to accept the code.
