is that version 2 ? i believe version 1 had a heat problem so they may be clearing the stocks through ebay

What an amazing invention, ideal if you,ve lost all use of yoir arms, or if your a lazy barsteward and cant plug the charger plug in.

What they called on ebay mate?

Also, are they any good? My main concern is the heat generated and pre-mature demise of a sealed internal battery

Or if you don't need one as you're still using one of these:

have you got a link please don`t seem to be able to find them

u beat me to it listing this! this is my 3rd I've bought. one for work. one home and one car. this is by far the best of the 3. and its smaller than the rest which are over sized for phones really

I have a bumper on my Nexus 4 so when I put it on a flat surface the back of the phone will be a couple of mm away from that surface. Will this affect wireless charging? Thanks :-)

Got one from eBay ages ago for about £17 , the charging wire broke within 3 mins - so I opened it up and hard wired it - works great - charges fine - except it makes a high pitched whistle when my phones not on it - this one looks better - voted hot .

well i can tell you that ive just got the nokia DT-900 Wireless Charging Plate for a nokia 820 which has a rubber cover bumper on it and it charges with the cover on it

Would be interested to know how this was mounted in a car? Be a neat way to charge it without plugging the cable in. Only concern is most Qi charge adaptors are 600mAh so in the car with full brightness, GPS and apps running the 600mAh might not manage to keep up?

"This wireless charger is the second update version. B00BS8BJ7Q is the first version."

You just know someone was wetting themselves laughing when they set up that version code...

aerotec get a brodit active charger

charges phone
easy to install in mins
custom fit
swivel phone 360 degrees
solid and tough
integrated charger or passive ones have no charger.

I bought the adjustable one which means I can keep my Samsung s4 book style case on.

they arent cheap but not expensive either. they are well worth it

i have 2 of them the first one is hit and miss i paid £25 off eBay i was getting up and the phone was flat it was charging when i went to bed but must have stopped charging without my knowledge i contacted the seller and he sent me another which is still wrapped up i havent used it and ive had it months, i do have a bumper case but i dont think that had anything to do with it as it made the jingling noise when placed down meaning charging. In my opinion they are rubbish ive gone back to plug and wire.

bull **** can you you've been called out and have failed to prove your claims, when i bought mine i searched high and low and there was nowhere they were that price even ordering from the far east they are more than that. Have you noticed theirs always one idiot on every post with claims like that done to spoil others posts, its cheaper than what i paid but only by a few quid and ive had my 2 ages so im not voting hot as im sure you could probably beat this price off eBay without much hassle.

I bought two off eBay for £11.85 each, including postage. They were from HK. Didn't take too long to arrive. Both work quite well, although the Mrs has to take her cheap and nasty case off her Nexus 4 to charge it. However, the Ringke Fusion case I have for the daughters N4 works fine on the charger.

I bought one like this.

Charger I received looks just like the one in the link from the OP and not the pics on eBay.

Works well enough.

I wouldnt have thought so. I use stcky mats on top of them to hold my phone in place and they work straight through it

I bought some of the sticky pads that i've always used in my car to simply drop the device on. It does charge slightly slower with screen on and I'd imagine for gps apps youd want to plug it in directly as I think the drain would be too much for it.

Does the lumia 920 need the wireless cover?

These are pretty dangerous to cells due to the EM radiation. I'd stay far away cos that's gonna cook things you don't want cooked.

Output: 5V 500mA to 800mA

No thanks.

They're perfectly safe. It's just a charged coil and a pickup inside the phone.

Please don't be so silly. I presume you never put a mobile phone next to your head, or go anywhere near overhead power lines either?

The convenience of just placing your phone down To change is great, if you don't intend to use it while it's charging. It becomes redundant the moment you need to make a call or move the handset off the pad.
I prefer my 3m cable any day.

I wouldnt necessarily plug the charger in if its not really low on battery but id be more likely to place it on a mat that was just there on my desk to add some juice.

And i'll presume you've never put something in a microwave. It's the same conecpt at work here. EMR, and it does indeed cook cells.

Please don't mislead people. If you have an article from a respected peer reviewed journal you would like to link to in order to prove your point go ahead. The power involved in microwaving is massively larger, and is well shielded. It is in no way comparable to a power mat or using a mobile phone.

Is this what you need to use it with the s4? Can you get it cheaper anywhere?

Mine has just arrived after ordering it yesterday, don't know how they got it here that quick. That aside ive plugged it in and it charges my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7(v2). Both have cases on and work with no issues. Must thank the OP and the seller for the speed of delivery.

Bought one of these - looks exactly the same - from eBay. Did not work at all with Lumia 920. Seller instantly refunded (from China) and no more was said. Haven't tried it on other Qi phones.

hope version 2 is better than the version 1 i've just returned....it was crap
you had to set phone down (nexus 4 & also nexus 7) half a dozen times for it to see it & then it would just stop
Its a fact that they recognise that version 1 has issues due to boasting about version 2 addressing these faults....
BUT at the same time they are still selling version 1 to the uninformed which says a lot about their attitude!!!!!

buyer beware

will this work on the s4 as is?

To these who have received this item, do you have to be very specific where you lay the phone or can you just plonk it on the mat?
