Is this the model exclusice to orange that you can get free facebook, myspace emails etc... for £5 a month?

yup, to get that though you have to call up 450 to get it applied to your account but yeah, orange sell this for 10quid more i think and thats without the top up.

well technically its exclusive, orange are the only network to have it on pay as you go :-)

Yeah, I got this a couple of months ago and it was £165 I think (£145+£20 airtime). Definitely worth it. £135 is awesome for the amount it does. Especially when it's really £115 because you'll obviously get £20 credit.

Although personally I think I would've preferred the earlier model when they were the same price, which had GPS but no wifi.... I've hardly felt the need to use wifi, it's good enough just using Edge when you're hardly going to be doing much heavy browsing on a small screen. But you can attach a bluetooth GPS to the 8120 if you wish so at least there's the option, whereas if you get the 8110 without wifi, you can't add wifi.

It's also in purple for £5 more on play.com if you prefer that (I certainly wouldn't!)

Whatever floats your boat i suppose :0) lol

Yes, the 8120 has wifi, unlike the 8110 which does not. That is the only difference between the two models, ignoring colour.

I'm looking for a phone that would work in the States. I don't see anything in the specs?

EDITIED: Just googled this, and it seems this phone is quad band. Hope I've understood that correctly.

DAK if this phone can be used with Twitter and Twitpic?

Also DAK how much it would cost per Tweet or Twitpic if used outside of the UK?

This will work fine in the States as they use 850/1900 bands (this phone has it)

Yep, there are Twitter apps, but don't know how much they would be to use outside the UK.

Does anyone know, is the £20 already on the SIM or is it in the form of a voucher. I already have an Orange PAYG phone and don't want to change my number.

AFAIK 8110 has built in gps 8120 has built in wifi

Hi all, this is a very good price and a lot of phone for the money. However, my employer has issued one of these to me and I hate it. The menu structure is pants and the keypad very difficult to use. I have had various SE, Nokia and Samsung phones and currently have an iPhone and its the most difficult phone to use that I have come across. There are about 20 of us all with the same phone and only one of us actually likes it.

Unless you are a Blackberry fan I would advise you to try one before you buy.

Having saild all the above I cannot fault it for features, performance or reliability, its just horible to use.

I brought one of these, and have to agree with the comment above: the keyboard is a nightmare. However, since I don't use mobiles often and wanted one with quad band, it seemed to be one of the cheaper deals.

In answer to an earlier question re the £20, basically you get two plastic voucher cards worth £10 each. Its a "free monthly reward", basically animal rewards, i.e. Dolphin, Canary, Racoon, Camel.

Thanks for that. Not sure whether to go for one now though after theses reviews and others I have seen on the web.
