Curve 3G?

Yes, it is.

Best price for a brand new one at the moment. Can be had cheaper from E2Save or Mobiles, but they're refurbished (clearance) ones.

Yeh, a pretty hot deal this one, im gettin mine tomorrow (saturday) from my local, n de girl i talked with said that it'll come sim free unlocked WOOHOOO! Jackpot

If I was to purchase one of these to use my o2 simplicity sim with, would i be able to use the BBM, or would I have to pay extra to use this?

Mum was after Blackberry so this should be good. The cheaper curve only has 2G so all her internet stuff would seem slow compared to her android phone!

Anyone who wants to use bbm, push email, the Facebook app, live messenger app (or any other RIM created apps) will need a special blackberry sim. Normal sim only contracts may have internet, but they don't have Blackheath Internet service, which is required for a lot of official apps.
You can get internet and email using opera and gmail without blackberry internet service, but it's a pain the backside to set up

thanks for the reply, so what would you suggest? i dont want to lose my number so is there any alternative i can do?

So what is the best sim deal to go with this.

Just need something basic, 100 mins / 100meg internet etc.

Any one know if this phone support 3 mobile sim card? I am actually hoping to use 3 free skype on this phone is it does support skype?

2mp camera? ewww

Wow this is a badly submitted Deal. If you want to stay PAYG, get this deal on which network you want, then go to your network and just get them to add on BIS (BlackBerry Internet Services) for £5 a month.

Possible £6.50 Quidco

150 at Carphoneware house, I work there and i confirm this!

if your on payg o2 and buy this phone you need to add the BB bolt on even just to use the wifi at home,no need to change sim or number tho,the bolt on costs £5 a month, deducted from your payg credit

Do i need to have BB bolt even when using facebook / skype etc on wifi (at home)?

No bolt on needed if you're only using wifi

But if you are using 3G is needed?

What about just making regular telephone calls is it needed?

I have sim only contract with t-mobile. Can I get this deal without the £10 top-up

Yes it's needed for 3g, but not for texts and calls

I got this deal on Friday without the top up.
Just handed over my sons old orange phone and said I wanted it as an upgrade for his birthday. They set it all up for me and sorted the blackberry bolt on which arrived the next morning.
First impressions are excellent.

You might be able to blag it and say you don't need the top up as you already have a Orange/Vodafone/whatever SIM. However, they are most likely to make you buy it anyway - seems like that's standard policy.

Best way to try and avoid paying is to take an old SIM in and do as the posted above has - say you just want to upgrade your mobile but already have a SIM, so don't need another (the £10 "top-up" is actually on a new SIM card, rather than as a voucher like it used to be)

too little too much for a bb without contract oO

I would advise anyone thinking of buying a phone from phones 4 u to stay clear by miles from this website.
This is actually a con business run by some thugs who also own policy admin service uk.
If you buy from them they automatically add you for a free insurance which, as they say is free for 3 months and after that they start charging your credit/debit card.
And yes ticking ‘No’ at checkout don’t stop them always.
They rely on the fact that most people don’t check their statements and small changes go unnoticed.
Their customer service centre is appalling and they would frustrate you to a point that you will regret purchasing with them.
