PC World...Come on, you gotta seduce me. You don't just offer me this tablet at £129.00. You wine and dine me and then offer it at £79.00.

got to love some of the reviews, this one is a gooden

Good Points i bought the playbook for my wife as a 20th wedding … Good Points i bought the playbook for my wife as a 20th wedding anniversary present, she was really pleased, she spent the next few nights constantly bouncing up and down on my lap.....thanks playbook...thanks blackberry...Bad Points im too knackered for any bad points.

This would be a great deal....a year ago, but now for this price range you can get double the tablet!

EDIT: 64GB now also checking out at £149.00!

32gb is £149, 64gb is still £249
Great price for this Tablet, paid £169 and was pleased with it last year..
Awful device, owned one for a few months and I can honestly say a cheaper android device would be better or obviously an ipad if you can stretch that far.
still comin 64gb £249
the 32gb is checking out at £149 the 64gb is £249 according to the basket I've just loaded with all 3 Hot deal though, dont really need it but its a gadget and i love the shiny shiny8)
Wonder if the price will drop anymore now that google's tab is getting around the £170 mark.

yeah, think I will wait
I've had one since last year and use it for hours each day - it's a classy bit of kit for surfing and email. I'm not fussed about apps. It's also a great size for portability. Tempted by the 64gb now for business use.
Spend a little more and get a Nexus 7... Far better device..
PC world were selling the iPad 2 64gb (brand new) for £299 recently.

The 64gb Playbook needs to be £150 or less for it to be a good deal.
Fantastic device and great price. I own this and a Xoom running ICS and like them both equally (for different purposes) and both more than my old ipad 2. At this price I'm tempted to get another to use purely as an XBMC remote.

Total cost £ 0.00
VAT (included) £ 0.00

Must have noticed?

would you like to buy my old San Fransico phone to use as an xmbc remote, yours for only £128 (saving you a pound on the playbook price) :P
Nexus 7 is easily worth £30 more.

But heat added for best price.

...and by the way the sound, camera and video are surprisingly high quality
This is a great deal, I really like this tablet but the lack of skype was a dealbreaker (using it to go travelling).
Are these any good? Compared to say buying an android tablet for around same price
Excellent device. Proper build quality. Bridged to 9900 is a dream.
soo has anyone actually been able to reserve one? i have a reservation number but it does not say what for and tells me i owe £0... tried twice with 2 different email addresses!

yes i have ... thats currys + pc worlds reserve system which is screwed ... seems to do that on anything you reserve... you should have a reservation number though

Great device, and you can root it for Android if you're that way inclined.

Becomes double the device if you have a BB handset though.

They're better specced than similar priced tablets, and you can root it for Android - or just get apps via BlueStacks.

And 64GB is definitely worth it. Total cost of less than the 16GB Nexus 7.
great for browsing and email.....if you want loads of apps look elsewhere. the limited android support improves things....kindle works well and ES File Explorer allows browsing and streaming from PCs........not sure if the price drop is due to nexus or RIM about to cut their losses though......they really missed the boat with this and could/should have hoovered up the 7" tablet market.
Sweet. I actually like the playbook. Nice find
Heat added... though I can't help but wonder if the price of these will drop slightly more (i.e. the 16gb hitting the £100 mark)

Good find, OP
FYI all. You can not root it and run android on it. I have one. You can only install sideloading app, and not all of them will work.... But for this price worth it. Bit heavy though for reading.
Yes sorry guys it's the 32GB which is £149.00 not the 64GB. not a bad price for a decent tablet and much better than the cheap android ones flying about. Already own an iPad so thought this would be ideal for the kids to play about with rather than the iPad.
Got one of these at about Christmas time on an impulse buy, sold it about March time. It's a well build, solid tablet with an excellent camera and good quality screen. For me, the lack of apps and the screen size (I use tablets a lot for comics, magazines etc) were the death knoll so I bought an ipad. For those not bothered about apps, it's a good purchase and should suit your basic needs
Best OS going on tablet devices atm.

Shame the app support is non existant.

you can use imo linked to your skype account if calling skype to skype,
imo.im/

works as well as skype but best using a headset
nice find
Brill piece of kit as has been said before, the os is actually excellent. Much better than even ics for being intuitive and true multitasking. I have a friend who works for bb and reckons they're not abandoning it and will continue to support. Told me skygo is coming in the next update but can't remember if Skype was mentioned.... It was at a wedding and i'd had a few:)
have to ask, any codes or vouchers that could reduce it further possibly? :P
can't find the 32gb version on the website...
Good price, but rather go for the Nexus Tab, this hardware is getting dated now
anyone using a wireless keyboard with their playbook? What do you recommend? How do you enable it?
