Good reviews, I bought it 9 days ago for £17 and so far so good (though please note I'm just an amateur DIY-er).

The BLACK+DECKER Mouse sander has a detailed base which is designed to give better results when sanding intricate areas. With a tear drop shaped base this enables you to access tight corners and tight spaces. Complete with removable tips allowing other profile tips to be added for greater versatility and allowing small areas to be reached. The Mouse sander comes with quick fit sanding paper for faster sanding action and easier paper fitment. Quick fit sanding paper is a velcro system so no clips needed to secure the sheet.

Box Contains
1 x BLACK+DECKER KA161BC Mouse detail sander
2 x foam pads
2 x P80 sanding sheets
3 x P120 sanding sheets
1 x P180 sanding sheet
1 x tip
4 x tip sanding sheets
1 x bag
1 x dust extraction adaptor

Handy for small scale sanding down

Why would you want to sand a mouse? Sounds a little cruel...

Like the title says it's all about the details!

Best little sander I own, id recommend these pads, nice and cheap but easily the best quality I have come across..

Its not going to shift stuff liek a belt sander will but it will compete with a random orbital or sheet sander and it is very good at getting into corners and curves.

bought one of these last time it was £15. Brilliant for sanding down an old coat rack and old bed side table. Not so good for sanding a door frame.

All in all, great little sander for small projects, would recommend.

Great find, needed one to replace a similar B&D one that has seen better days! Ordered

Ordered. Thanks for posting!

Heat added.

Thanks for the link, is it an assorted pack of pads? Do you know which grits/how coarse they are?

Thanks for the link. Bought this from amazon exactly a year ago and literally just used it (to sand all the woodwork in the house before fresh paint...as JimmyKFace says not great for door frames but manages most of it) I'll buy these for the next project. I note from the instructions that you can buy profiles to attach to the end that will go into skirting profiles etc, though can't find them on amazon

Is this too small too sand down a wooden patio tableand chair set ? Take too long ?

Yeah. You probably want to look for a Guinea Pig sander.

I'd use it in combination with a belt sander.

Use the belt sander on any large flat areas and the mouse to get in between tight gaps and sand the curved spindles etc.

So It can smooth off metal? thanks

Thanks OP, I've been waiting for this drop in price

Is it any good for car body?

Thanks, ordered!!

Thanks for the heat everyone I've only used it once, to sand a chest of drawers, so can't comment on its suitability for various types of work unfortunately, but reviews should shed some light. To those who ordered it - hope you'll enjoy your little mouse

There is one seller of the profiles on eBay. You get six different ones for £12.99 with free P&P. I have not bought or used them though. Just search for 'Black & Decker Mouse Velcro Profile'

Yes, if you have the correct pads for the metal.

Pretty sure the pads that come with it are meant for paint/wood, but depending on which metal you're looking to sand/polish, there's no reason you couldn't use the mouse with the right pad.

Sanding paint, rust or metal?

Again, you need to make sure you have the right coarseness of pad for the job.

Bought this from argos for £20 and got a pack of extras for half price. Did a great job of sanding down my garden bench. Took a short while but great item. Really got right into the little spaces.

Has anyone on here had one of these burn out on them? Or has the velcro melted?

Been reading some reviews and don't know whether to get one now
