Heat added Frank
Thanks OP, ordered. Hopefully this gets hot.
If it's good enough for the Supervet, then it's on my Christmas list

Use a lighter?
Heat added excuse the pun... This is very good, but dont kid yourself in to thinking you won't need to use different heat settings, you will. I have the variable heat model and different heat setting are a must.

It might get very smelly, trouble is you will need an attachment that will focus the heat on that area only. The attachments that come with the variable heat setting model I have are very good at directing the heat in that area I need, hence why a variable heat gun is a must as it can be controlled better, and doesn't damage the surrounding area if your careful. Might be worth giving it a go as the max heat setting is bloody hot.
Heat. Ordered thanks
Do not buy this, if you are the type of person who likes squeezing spots, extracting splinters, peeling sunburnt skin etc, or you will find before you know it, you've stripped the paint on every skirting board and door frame in the house! Very satisfying to use, but rather addictive!
Thank you for sharing, we have added your thread to the Highlights pages

Agreed. Would be good for jointing 3 phase cables for large borehole pumps... But for the average domestic wiring. Would be hard to direct the heat onto the boot.
Thanks op great price ordered
Ideal for cracking open your phone
Wife's phone camera cover is cracked. Looks like I need to heat it up to get it off and replace it... I assume this is exactly what I need?
Should I get this or a variable heat one? I want to loosen the adhesive that holds the screen and battery in place on a Microsoft surface.
