This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

There are good VPN deals on Black Friday & Cyber Week, some excellent & reputable, some cheap. Torguard VPN is all three and one of the most reputable VPNs available - this is my fifth year! The significant advantages are 10GB stealth connections & 256 EAS cloud storage (sync files with SecureShare - an ultra-secure version of Dropbox, but where your private pictures & files remain private.)

SecureShare syncs back up and can securely share files across all your devices all the time using their sophisticated VPN to ensure your data is always invisible.

The internet is not a safe place to browse and upload files, but Torguard has a one-button tool that helps achieve this quickly and securely. Try for seven days free, or opt for their one year package at £1.92 per month for life, or their two year package at £1.61 per month for life.

What is a VPN
VPN encrypts (scrambles) your data so no one can see it. You need to keep data safe as websites are hacked daily and then the data sold to anyone and everyone with a dark web browser.

Why do you need a VPN
You need a VPN as the government passed the 'Snoopers Charter' which logs everywhere you go online, but even if that's not a problem for you, you may want to be secure when using public WiFi where any Joe can look at your data, passwords etc. You can also spoof your country IP, so if you want to watch Netflix US in the UK or the BBC iPlayer abroad, you use a VPN server based in the required region.

Why buy a VPN
Free or cheap VPNs have to be funded somehow if it's free, it means they are probably selling your data, which defeats the object. Torguard has been highly rated by security experts year on year. TG keeps no logs.

What is Torguard Encrypted Cloud Storage (SecureShare)
(and why to avoid Apple, DropBox and Google where possible.)

Have you ever needed files on one device to access or share on your phone, but realised it's your laptop, you grab your phone, and there it is! Safe? Sadly not.

Not only are these places proven to be hackable. Dropbox can decrypt all your files and can view them whenever it wants — particularly if any law enforcement agency comes calling. If a court ordered the release of your data, they might be obliged to pass it to anyone. Think of that angry ex! Torguard don't have this data in the first place, nor can they decrypt it, so any court order is useless.

Why is SecureSharte so secure?
(Why to avoid Apple, DropBox & Google where possible)

1 ) Torguard's VPN tunnels & SecureShare both use 256 AES Encryption, so the data is stored on, leaves your device and remains scrambled until decrypted using a password, which means it cannot be hacked by anyone.

2) Behind the scenes, SecureShare one button encrypts and syncs the files on your device to the cloud.

2) Only encrypted files are sent, sored or shared, all copies remain encrypted. Not even TG could decrypt your data.

3 The only time a record of your choice becomes readable is when your friend enters a password, and even after that, you can remotely revise or delete the file.

A VPN and Secure file storage alone will not protect you from hackers, as some info has to remain online. Just limit the data you share and try to use SecureShare for your holiday pics. Ie. Use Google Photos for food, animals and landscapes, but Torguard for family pics. Use Dropbox for unimportant files, but SecureShare for medical notes etc.

How about sharing files with a group of trusted friends?
TG SecureShare files are encrypted on your device and decrypted the other device, never on their servers. (You choose to share using 256 AES encryption and a password specifically for your friend which decrypts the data on their device only with the app. At no point can Torguard, hackers or the government see the plain text data. Just your ultra scrambled text.

Why not use WhatsApp, Apple or Google?
DropBox holds your encryption key, giving access to everything you have in the Dropbox folder. Recently a Dropbox hack lead to leaking the 68 million clients data. Apple lost 275,000 clients data, and last year over five million Google user's data was compromised. You may think that WhatsApp is encrypted and safe but has recently been cracked many times because they don't use true end to end encryption. Apple also offers this as part of a paid prescription. But then again, Apple has been hacked, leading to hundreds of celebrities photos showing far more than intended.

In 2018 dating websites had 620 million accounts stolen from 16 hacked websites now for sale on dark web...thats a lot of pictures. Also last year all these sites were hacked and gave away billions of people's data; myPersonality, Facebook, Cathay Pacific Airways, Wikipedia, Timehop, iTunes, Ticketfly, Google Plus, MyHeritage, Marriott Starwood hotels, Exactis Aadhar.

Don't be surprised if a quick check on the dark web locates more information about you than you thought possible. As a first resort, check your email address here; haveibeenpwned.com to see how many of your accounts have been hacked. Torguard and its Secure Share Survive as an affordable way to get a high level of protection. You can't stop third-party servers and their websites from being hacked, there is an attack every 39 seconds. With TG SecureShare, you can avoid sharing most sensitive data, so when your favourite photo server is eventually hacked ( and it will be), your holiday pics won't find their way into unscrupulous hands.

Norton 360 Premium is £17 per year for 10 devices on Amazon atm and comes with a secure VPN and password manager as part of the package, also comes with 75GB cloud storage. Been using it for over a year and the VPN speeds are incredible. Also they do not keep logs. amazon.co.uk/dp/…c=1

Thanks for sharing.
Norton is good, but Bitdefender is better for antivirus . Norton from your link is £17 for one device by calculation, still a good deal.
Thanks for sharing! Heat added!
Just grabbed this and works flawlessly with Netflix, so much more content over seas and really good client for iOS, looks like a really stable VPN service. Cheers!!! Did it for the quarterly one and worked out at £1.28 pm
Great deal! Torguard is great...their offshore servers are secure, unlike some in Europe and US when the government secretly monitors them.

Sorry, does this let you view Netflix from different region? I thought they had stopped that but if not would try it. Can you confirm it works? (& if so is it on pc only or other devices?)

To use it you need a dedicated streaming IP which is an add on, only equates to a further £1 extra, you can just setup any device to use it and watch the content, pc, mobile phone etc.
You can choose several regions also, USA, Europe, Asia etc, however, I believe from the addons, each region has the bolt on as a price, so if you choose USA, it’s $7.99, then if you choose Asia, it’s an further $7.99.
The support is very good also and usually get back to you within a few hours if you need assistance
I bought the vpn and paid by Paypal for the quarterly package. Changed vpn location to USA and it worked on Netflix on my Iphone. However be warned that Torguard are going to stop accepting payment by Paypal from the new year.
Great deal , thanks ! Just checked it out with netflix... no muffering (or buffering !).... also did a bit of background sleuthing and found that they don't keep logs . This must be the best VPN tool out there atm, Ive tried a bunch of others (usually more expensive and just cant take video streaming to well...... ive had this running in the background and not even noticed it is on with multiple windows open and streaming to boot.... cheers.

This one or surfshark? I bought surfshark but it is slow than my usual connection
The site below is quite interesting for comparison. I do not know about accuracy but it gives a few pointers. A fair bit of red for this but by no means the worst.

I’m getting bundle requirements not met when I enter the discount code.
I’m obviously doing something wrong.
Would be much appreciated if someone could help me out.
Thank you in advance.

Not sure if this helps - I use a family members Netflix US account in the UK with no issues. Am also currently watching it on holiday in Egypt with no issues and I've never needed a VPN.

Who cares, if the deal is good
US Government Jurisdiction - privacy is questionable

“TorGuard: This VPN comes from the United States – which doesn’t leave a positive first impression.
In case you didn’t know, this country is one of the core members of the —14-Eyes Alliance— and we all know about its mass surveillance.
However, things aren’t all that bad. TorGuard has been around for quite some time, and there are no reports of this VPN collecting private data and/or sharing it with third parties. With this said, this is a highly reputable VPN service.”

Good price but this seems one to avoid for me. This review is a few years old but the site seems generally trustworthy.

I’m leaning towards ExpressVPN as my 2 year IPVanish deal is coming to an end. Seems to be an absolute minefield trying to find a provider that’s trustworthy, honest and secure.
How do you get this at £1.61pm for life? The cheapest it comes up to is about £7pm

Yes they do.
First ensure you have a connection via the US, then if that connection is not workung, use their "stealth steamed connection" where they guarantee a connection, butit cost $5 month (always call or message to negotiate, mine was free
