It has 8GB of built in storage. The 1GB is the RAM.

Best thing to do is ask yourself, what exactly you use your phone for, me personally its a few apps like whatsapp, facebook, google, music, taking photos. Then this is more than perfect for someone like me but if you gotta have the latest stuff, games, etc then its prob not for you.

Would this be any good as a back up phone? My Kazam Thunder keeps glitching out, I think it's on it's way out ;)!

Even then, it's £30...not sure what you expect for that money. You have to double that to get 2gb of ram

Is this 4G compatible?

Honestly, this phone has the best standby of any phone I have ever had (first iPhone I have had, usually an android or blackberry user). You can leave it overnight and it'll only drop 1-2%.

It all goes downhill unfortunately when you're using it, soon as that screen is on you can almost watch the battery drain.

I'd say around 140% gets me through a day with a top up around 15:00 for half an hour. Charging is really fast though, I just wouldn't expect it to last a full day with heavy use.

If you're a sporadic user you could probably get two days out of this easy, if you're using safari, YouTube, hukd etc (I don't have Facebook or Instagram) and you're using them for more than a few hours - expect a top up midday.

I'm going to be selling soon and going for the Sony XZ1 Compact based purely on battery-life. iOS is simplistic but it just works, I don't think this phone has crashed once since I bought in March... the battery life though is disappointing.

If iOS or an iPhone is a must for you though I'd look at the SE or Plus variety, both have better screen on time than the 7.

It appears @£40.94p in all colours, now. 😥

Amazing how people comment on the 1GB assuming it's storage - I doubt the OS itself could fit into that space!!

I ordered two, separately. It shows the second time as the much higher (though still good) price. The trick if this happens to you also and you want a different colour: Order whatever shipped as showing at the lower price. Then edit, in the basket, to your preferred colour. It then accepted at the lower price the black OK, from the gold previously.

I get two days out of my 7 Plus.

ordered. thanks OP.

Any PAYG deals for very very small use. Likely to be 4 calls a month, handful of texts etc.

This shouldn't be a main phone for anybody under the age of 70. It's a phone to buy and then stick in the drawer in case yours ever breaks/becomes lost and you need to use a spare for a few days.

Giff Gaff could be good for you, I have used about £40 credit over the last 4 years, I don't buy goodybags, or use data, I topped up with £10 of credit when I joined and set it to auto top-up when it gets to £3.00, it's happened 3 times and I still have about £8.00 now.

1gb Ram is still Negative unless using as feature phone only not smartphone. It will keep on giving memory errors .

Wish I'd gone for the Plus, loving iOS but the screen on time... notsomuch

Nope, it's perfect, your credit never expires as far as I know. I use about 1 minute and maybe 2 texts a month, sometimes I use nothing, they send you a monthly usage email, plus after every call or text your balance appears on screen somehow.

Anyone have anything to say about the possibility of malware on the phone?

Ordered blue one for £30.57 as per OP, thanks.

Probably more of a near certainty than a possibility.

I wonder why(me included) would buy another phone that is not Oreo Android, especially now that 'toast' vulnerability is in the wild, we are all f*cked with this built in obselecnce or however it is spelled.

a smart phone for £30 pounds,

WOW

1gb Ram ?!

itll be torture

You'd be throwing money away buying this. Buy cheap, buy twice. Android with 1GB of RAM is just a no no as no doubt many replies have already said.

Not bad, but maybe wait for the new iPhone X to be announced later today at around £1000

What do you want for £30?

Good for using for casting stuff to Chromecast probably not much else.

I have a Motorola G Play with only 1gb of ram. No problems at all with android. Guess people spend their time working on 200 quadratic equations simultaneously. That might slow it down. Cheap as chips phone. A typical HUKD bargain. Have some heat

And back in the real world...
Most people of any age would be perfectly fine using this phone.

does the battery on this prone to explode?
