Awesome price

great find

Watched this in the cinema, and left somewhat sold short on the movie.

However Ryan Gosling and the AI girl (new Bond girl) gave an outstanding performance.

The film really picks up following Fords entrance.

On second viewing I loved it, very similar to Drive in the way Gosling is a reserved but troubled character.

Heat OP!
Great movie. Disappointing 3D but for this price it's a total bargain. Heat added
Excellent price, nice one!
I greatly preferred this to the first one - heat from me.

I disagree, the 3D is well implemented and suits the film.

Bargain price!

Gosling is one of the films flaws. He does what he always does in films - stares quietly

That’s not acting
Great price! The sound nearly deafened me at the cinema. Be sure to turn it up for full impact!

It depends on whether Denis Villeneuve asked him to 'stare quietly' in scenes I guess ?
A good actor would never stare loudly
great find not seen blade runner in any of my locals will keep me hunting

Thanks for posting OP, managed to get both in Wigan old town centre store although had to rummage through the boxes stored above the shelves. Also picked up Ice Age 5 3D and Why Him?

You haven't seen his range with films like Lars and the Real Girl & Blue Valentine huh I also highly recommend The Nice Guys and Crazy Stupid Love is actually a good romantic comedy he plays a significant role in

Can't blame a guy for also having a strong presence for films with quiet moments. The director got him in for the new blade runner cause he's good at that. Idk anyone else who would have fit the role for it, nor for Drive or La La Land better than him

There are large parts of the film where the 3D is completely non existent. …There are large parts of the film where the 3D is completely non existent. Very poor post conversion I'm afraid. Even Roger Deakins doesn't rate the 3D version Roger Deakins Thinks Seeing ‘Blade Runner 2049’ in 3D is Not a Good Idea(Terrible spelling mistakes in this piece)

Meh, I found it to be perfectly serviceable as far as post processed 3D goes, enjoyable and very appropriate to the filmography.

You also quoted an article specific to viewing the film in cinemas in projected form rather than bluray and a home viewing experience. I would suggest forming your own opinion rather than throwing random unrelated articles out there.

It IS my opinion actually. I've seen the movie 5 times now. Once in 3D IMAX, Once on a passive 3D TV screen, Once on PSVR and 2 times on a Active shutter projector. Disappointing 3D on every occasion. I was just pointing the article out. Hardly 'throwing an article out there' when it's discussing the film in question and the cinematographer ??
Strange.

How did you I know your reply was going to be along the lines of "I've seen the film 900 times in every format and every display possible"

It was cranked to insane levels at my local cinema, quite the audio experience! Though even that was eclipsed by a one-night showing of T2-3D
