I'm pretty sure this is nationwide but don't quote me on that, I personally found it in Birmingham city centre. It's the normal blu-ray with download, not 3D or 4K.

Damn this was really long - not too bad but felt didnt really progress much from the first one.

When Blade Runner came out it was ahead of its time, nothing quite like it then in terms of story and visuals. 35 years later for the sequel I just expected another leap in story & visuals but nada - continues more or less in the same time period of the first movie.

Good movie just dont raise your expectations - more of the same.
Its a great movie. Best of the last 10 years actually. Helps if you are a Blade Runner fan though. And kids wont like it.

The amount of peeps that had to go for number 1 breaks during the film was remarkable. Film was so so, this coming from a massive fan of the first one but still enjoyed it.

Got all the editions that ever came out for the first one - just missing a Harrison Ford cut now!

Def. a fan just felt it didnt deliver - the PC game is still 1 of my all time fav. classics.
Just been in my local (Ashton-under-lyne) and it's still £15
Felt like a film with separately made scenes which were interesting to watch. Could have had more Harrison Ford though.
Ford's best acting in decades.

Visual masterpiece with an incredibly good female protagonist.

Easily the best sci-f film this century.

Great price for recent film on blu-ray.

So the pee breaks are because of the film? or just people with weak bladders, drinking a litre of coke during the movie. Or the smokers who need to go out to feed the habit. This isn't because of the film, the films Good, maybe not brilliant, everyone has an opinion.
Best film of 2017...
I want the 4K version
I couldn't hang around. Bought it the day it came out in Sainsbury's. 15 smackers for me. Rarely buy any movie at that price!

However I did get a free book with it too

because the film was so long, people got caught short.

Terrible movie dont belive the hype.
Love this film. Tough call between this and "A Ghost Story" as 2017's best movie for me. Both fantastic but in very different ways.

Do you have a second house to store them all in.
£15 at Sainsbury, Hamilton
This is very much the new 'Dredd'. I'll add heat but will wait for the 4K version. Who cares if its a commercial failure when it's an artistic masterpiece?

Still got the bloody HD DVD player accessory that came out for the Xbox 360 waiting for the revival

watched this twice, all for free

1) in just HD quality as rakuten were offering this free via topcashback, at 6.99 cashback for my Samsung TV

2) then 1 week later this became available as one of the 10 TV Plus films using the voucher via the Samsung TV which is an ongoing Samsung promo if purchasing a new 4k TV. film was in UHD HDR

Overall both picture quality was great (speech was very quiet)

the film is good and whilst nothing will come close to the original IMO, this was a worthy successor, and whilst it was long it did not drag too much. Harrison Ford has nothing more than a cameo appearance.

Incredible film... not enough hype
£15 in Leamington Spa
Awful film. Genuinely dreadful. Nothing happened and it dragged on forever.
Wow, this film was a US box office flop, just like the original... So?

I love both the films. Why would I care what anyone else thinks.

I have! And thoroughly enjoyed 2049 at the cinema twice...absolute masterpiece of art.

Cameo? He was in about a fifth of the movie.

Also helps if you haven't seen many movies from the last 10 years.
We almost walked out of the cinema
I thought it was pretty good, feel it's a meaty enough film that you need to watch a couple of times to really appreciate, and I've only seen once in fake IMAX (no difference as far as I could tell, just a slightly curved screen).
Apart from Tron 2 this rates as the most disappointing sequel this century
I couldn't get on with the original when I was younger, but re-watched it recently and thought it was great. Really enjoyed 2049 too.

*POTENTIAL SPOILER* The full CG person was incredible - leaps and bounds above the technology used in Rogue One

The problem is you could totally reboot like Ghostbusters or even make a very late sequel like Indiana Jones and KOTCS and they all miss the mark in terms of continuation from the classic. Its very difficult to make a modern day sequel and say it follows on seamlessly in terms of style and passion even with the original director.

Bladerunner 2049 however stays close to it's 80s roots in terms of 'art style'. I think the original Bladerunner is a classic and there wasnt any need for a sequel. The story ended well. The new bladerunner stays very true to its roots and continues the story respecting and building on all the cues and classic moments of the original. In fact this is the sequel no one ever imagined would ever exist.

From an artistic perspective its flawless. That also diminishes it's commerical appeal. Its not going to appeal the the same masses the love the Transformer movies.

However I have no doubt that every few years when the disc version of Bladerunner 2049 comes on sale its will be a super hot deal among the fans and it will turn out to be a classic like the original and Dredd.

They did reboot Ghostbusters - the girly version - flopped.
They did make a late sequel to Indy - flopped.

They flopped, I think, because they forcefully made another movie focused primarily on its popularity and cash allure with no story that was worth telling or story that could be executed well.

All I'm sayng is when BladeRunner came out and 35 years later BladeRunner 2049 - I expected to be blown away the same way as the first one did and it didnt sadly. I guess when an original idea gets executed very rarely can a sequel surpass the original let alone stand on the same ground.

Conversely, my wife and I were blown away by the sequel and went to the cinema twice, rare to see a film these days that is such a visual and aural treat whilst remaining true to the original and furthering the story without it being a carbon copy of the original film which strangely I think some people seem to have wanted...damned if you do, damned if you don't.

A thinking man's film, sadly amongst the array of Marvel/DC blockbusters increasingly becoming the action rollercoaster norm a dying art. I guess like 'Cloud Atlas' (which we also thought was great) which polarised opinions there are some of us that appreciate storyline depth and art direction in our cinematography.

Seems these days anything that shows an element of complexity is becoming increasingly niché.
Just rang Arnold and Castle Marina - both say £15 I think I`ll wait until it drops in price - this was the only film that I have ever watched where I fell asleep in the cinema

Have you seen the film Stalker by Andrei Tarkovsky? I noticed a lot of similarities here with 2049 and while Stalker's much more of an esoteric experience I'd recommend watching it, I think it's gotten a nice new Blu-Ray release too.

Checked review of Stalker - killer reviews. Going to watch tonight.

As I said BR2049 was solid just felt 35 years later to make a "sequel" I wanted it to bring something new to the table thats all.

Remaining faithful to the original is no easy feat by any means - if anything being bigger and bolder seems to be the norm nowadays - luv/hate marvel movies.

Def. Worth a 2nd viewing on my part - its def. Not a movie for the casual viewer.
