Was in Fopp and noticed that they were selling Blade Runner: The Final Cut - Ultimate Collector's Edition (5 Discs) for only £5 on DVD, thought it was a good price for a good film

Ha.. hope you're joking!

It's 5 different versions of the film on three seperate discs and documentaries and special features on the other two.

God how i hated that film

Why is this on more than 1 DVD?
There is no reason for this to be on more than one disk.

Or you could just get the directors cut with extras from Play for £2.99.

I ordered mine yesterday:

Item : Blade Runner: The Final Cut (2 Discs)
Price : GBP 2.99
Quantity : 3
Delivery Cost : Free

Excellent! have some rep ;-)

Shame about me being a muppet and ordering three copies !
Still, at least I managed to cancel two before dispatch.

Great film - but FIVE effing discs ???
Showing what ? The cast's bowel movements during filming ?
Any old boring sh*t in other words ?

The 2 disc is cheap in fopp too - £2 from mem. Was disappointed to find out the Blu-ray 2-disc version comes with a DVD disc of extras in standard def - only 1 Blu disc... Rip-off.

You mean someone actually watches the pointless junk on the "extras" discs ?
I buy a disc for the film and NOTHING ELSE. Few things wind me up more than knowing the studios are making me pay more for stuff that I didn't want in the first place - with the possible exception of Blu-Ray access times of course.

For people making stupid comments questioning why there's five disks, and anyone else thinking of doing so, read the Amazon product page.

£5 is a total bargain for this.

then just play one, coz the full version is on two of the discs...lmao

Wow, I've read plenty of stupid things on the internet in my time, but the majority of posts in this thread are right up there with the best of them. I got the 5 disc collectors edition (the one in the suitcase) on HD DVD for about £20 months ago and was chuffed with that, and before anyone cries "DEAD FORMAT11111!!!!!" it isn't as long as my HD-DVD drive works, and once that clonks out I'll just buy the 5 disc blu-ray and pop that in the suitcase.

Anyway, back OT, have some heat.

Without question, the biggest 'Emperors new clothes' moment in cinematic history.

Utter dirge from start to finish, and anyone who says otherwise is just toeing the line.

I remember it being a bit of a flop at the cinema and only really took off on video release.

I think its a great film, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, my only grudge is the amount of times and versions that have been released on dvd.

Anyways hot for a fiver.

What's your favourite film? If you could just copy the next sentence, insert the title and post it that would be great.

So no one else's opinion is valid? Only yours?

Really???

You should stop now. Really. Just stop.:whistling:
