If you have never seen it its definitely worth watching at this price - its not perfect but its entertaining enough for less than a fiver.

I can watch the three Blade movies as many times as they are on the screen. I've bought each on DVD too... but I could never get "into” this series when it was televised; I tried the first three or four episodes & eventually gave up.

In some respects the reason was because of Kirk Jones' presence as the character. Wesley Snipes did, I thought, such a good job at portraying the superhero previously (& he wasn't cast for this outing due to alleged disagreements with David S Goyer during the filming of "Blade: Trinity"), but mainly because the story lines just seemed to mull along without getting anywhere.

I did pick up this box set in the Zavvi sale (at around this price), & still couldn't justify even spending this small amount on it, so put it down again.

I may well be in a minority of one with this opinion, but I would certainly advise you to not buy it if you expect the same atmosphere as the universe portrayed in the three movies.

(Hopefully Snipes will be successful in his appeal against his tax returns & not have to be jailed for the 3 year sentence he received in April last year, resolve his differences with the movie production team, and a fourth installment can be penned & filmed. It would be a great pity to lose the momentum of the movie franchise. Mind you, the ultimate villain was personified in “Blade: Trinity” so it may well be difficult to better that without the inevitable “reboot” like Batman recently enjoyed).

BFN,

fp.

Watched the first 2 or 3 and gave up on it - its Blade in name but not in any other way - its feels like a cheap TV spin off

It's no classic but I definitely thought it was worth watching, especially at this price
