IGN gave it a 8.9 and just because something is not that great to you, doesn't mean others won't enjoy it.

Whilst that's true, I wouldn't look to ign for scores on anything, reviews sold to the highest bidder... check out some youtube videos your serious about buying it. But if you have xbox get it on game pass, better value. Heat added anyway as it's the best price about.

everyone speaks for itself, this is NORMAL
I'll just add my 2 cents... It's on game pass and still not worth playing.

That's only my opinion though, give it a go on game pass first if you have that luxury.
I finished it on game pass & thought it was ok. I'm a big fan of the film's & it was decent enough i thought. 6/10 seems fair
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, but the ending dragged a bit and it's a short game. Either play it on Game Pass or wait til it's at about the £10 range would be my advice

Bloober Team developed and published the game. Basically you are implying a small and respected developer like themselves paid IGN for a great review Also important to recognize it received plenty of review scores at 8 and 9, but yes plenty of average scores as well. People throw about this paid for review when it suits their agenda but this can be very disrespectful and harmful especially considering it is unlikely to be true.

I played it on Game Pass back when it released and enjoyed it very much. This is how I felt about the game but I wouldn't try to influence if someone buys the game based on my opinion of it.
You get to play snake on the in-game mobile phone... and it's more fun than the game itself.
I played the game via game pass roughly a month ago;
Pros: Aesthetically pleasing, great sound design, dog is a lovely addition as a companion
Cons: Very short game (around 7 hours), level design leaves something to be desired and the jump scares start to become tedious.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but I wouldn't pay anywhere near this price to play it.
I wish people would stop saying get this on gamepass the deal is for a physical game not renting a digital game on a subscription. Thats like telling me not to buy casino royal because you can watch it on Netflix
