Maybe not the best TV in the world, but gets good reviews on the tesco website, so definitely worth the money for a bedroom or childens room I reckon. If you have Delivery Saver for the groceries you can get next day delivery at Tesco Direct free, or collect in store is free I think. There are 1 or 2 codes kicking about and if you can't get them to work wjen you are ordering. I've found if you ring customer service on the freephone number they will apply it as a refund to the card you used to pay. TCB too, so my TV is costing a few pence over £180 if the cashback happens (and Tesco is usually good in that respect

blaupunkt televisions are perfectly fine, so heat from me ..

the fact someone might consider buying a 39 inch tv for children is another issue entirely

£199 might not be much to the OP but for many it is a serious amount of money, this would be the main (or only) TV

I have this tele and for the price it is great. Plays films direct from usb

av this in my bedroom, bought last bank hol with 20 quid of voucher. gr8 tv cant fault it.

Bought it for my sister when it was £179 + free 5 yr warranty.

Even though the 32" is pants the 39" isn't too bad (he says begrudgingly)

Was not meaning to imply that this was not a serious spend - Just that, relatively speaking. it is a cheap price for a TV of this size and I know a lot of people have more than one TV in the house. Still think the price is cheap for what you are getting!

Try TDXR-PYRT (one time use only), the code will lower the price by £15.

Code working, I had £4 worth of vouchers - paid £180
Thanks

I don't know why Blaupunkt are re badging cheapo oriental TVs, they are a quality audio equipment manufacturer and a part of Bosch group.

I purchased one of these last time it was on offer for our bedroom. It is spot on, can't find fault with it. Don't listen to the negative doom and gloom people. If you need a television this is great and it is very good looking unit. Its at least on par with my Samsung in the front room.

The same reason Samsung/Sony/Toshiba do, its cheaper to let someone else make the low end kit and concentrate on the top end yourself.

Damn, missed it

Oriental? Maybe amend to "I don't know why Blaupunkt are re badging (enter description) Slovakian TVs?"
Not convinced there is any recent or ongoing link between Bosch and UMC:

I have viewed and used a number of UMC Blaupunkt and UMC Technika (Tesco's brand) TVs and found then to be decent and offer good value.
