Love this offer. Missed the deals at Black Friday on the 50 inch and 32 inch. Going for this.

They have this in my local store just on the shelves.

Yep should be in Tesco Extra as well - was it £179.99?

Didn't realise Tesco use Square Trade for warranty.

Who owns SquareTrade, and if they go bust in 2 years would I have any warranty rights walking into Tesco?

is it black Friday again

Oh dear, was it Balupunkt about the burning tV's?

Hot TV.... not as in the back of a lorry kind either X)

Good luck with the **** link delivery chaps.

how are tesco with refunds if price has been lowered after you bought the product? bought at 200, wondering if worth checking to see if they'll refund the difference

They should be able to refund the £20 difference if bought in the last 28 days as Tesco generally price match themselves

Closed now but speak to live chat when open tescohelp.com/tes…tml

See comment above - ta

ive just emailed them to ask if they will match, i paid £199 a few weeks ago.

Ordered, thanks for posting!

sorry, have some heat too

What's the quality of image like for games? And if you are sitting close up? Thanks.

Shouldn't sit close to large tv's. There is a calculation for distances for watching tv's

Try it anyway nothing to lose

They still trying to offload this crap.........

Is this the TV everyone was fighting for on black friday?

Have this tv for 1 year, it's a beautiful colourful, sharp and good looking piece of equipment.

Just been advertised on TV so this deal should also be in every store than has an electrical department.

Waiting for the 32 inch

I used a Tesco voucher that I had for £2, so got it for £177, plus I got 179 Tesco points. User reviews state that the sound quality isn't that hot, but for a sub £180 40" LED TV with Freeview HD included? I ordered mine today and looking forward to getting it just after Christmas.

I have the 42inch version and picked it up for £200. The onboard speakers are junk but the screen is very good. I have mine connected to my PC as a secondary monitor via HDMI and the 1080p picture quality is sharp and precise. Worth the price.

Hot because its Blaupunkt!!

Poor picture, awful sound. You get what you pay for!

It's not, it's using the name on licence and is made by UMC in Slovakia

Im sure this is the tv people had battles in store at asda lollllll awful tv

I got the 39 inch model back in May, I have my PC, PS3, X360, Wii and surround sound system all plugged in to it. Yes the speakers aren't great (still good enough to hear stuff though) and there is back light bleed on the edges. But the picture is pretty damn good, and that much entertainment and connection possibilities for such a low price with a 5 year guarantee is superb.

While it's not a *bad* deal, the notion that this ever sold for £300 for a nanosecond longer than was legally required before it could be put on "sale" is ludicrous.

Cold from me. If it included a free scrap at Asda and playing tug of war with another customer then hot. youtu.be/F1Y…r_8

Just had one of these for my daughter. It doesn't work. Switches on and then a few minutes later switches itself off. Will now gave the hassle of getting on to Tesco in the morning. Ho ho ho.

have you got one? cos most reviews say the picture is very good for the price.

or maybe you know where to get a 40' Sony or Samsun for £180?

Exactly. I have one and the picture is crisp and fluid at 60hz. This is coming from someone who uses a 144hz, 2560 x1440 main monitor everyday with my gaming desktop. The guy stating the picture is bad is probably butthurt after paying £899 at PC World for a 39inch 1080p LG. lol.

I had this with the 32 inch one. Tesco customer services were great about it, and advised me not to return it until they can replace it as the price might change - if you keep it they will honour the price when its back into stock as a like for like swap - just in case you find they have none left when you contact them.

Haha I swear people on black Friday payed more for this on the day X)
