This is the one they were selling on black Friday but it was £150 in the sainsburys store near me

I've got a blaupunkt tv. A buzzing sound & black light bleed are on my tv. apart from that it's great.

That's the case with most flat screen TV's.

have had one of these for about 2 years ish - you cannot go wrong for £140. As long as you not a tv nit picker you will thunk thus is the dog's **** for the money ! It's not 4k (neither are your eyes probably) it's not got 8 x hdmi ports ! but you can watch tv on it !

Saw these in Kempston today but were priced up at £199

On the weekend tesco had the Blaupunkt 43" smart tv version at £149, not sure if still available.

are these not the TV's people were risking a conviction for assault for?

No, these are something else. I have one and it's really really poor. These Blaupunkt TVS are exactly the same as Tesco Teknika, Bush and other cheap and nasty TVS. It is cheap, but it is terrible. Cheap does not necessarily constitute a hot deal. Spend a few quid more and get a much better box. Please, don't waste your money on this rubbish. Don't say I didn't warn you.

No way it's powered by jbl.... mine sounds pretty decent

i have this exact model from a tesco black friday 2 years ago (£170 with discounts then). sound is TERRIBLE, the speakers rumble and voice is inaudible above 18-20 volume. backlight looks uneven when screen is actively playing black but i've not noticed any poor picture quality in real use - i use this for ps4 gaming and kodi and i'm happy with it's quality. lot of inputs, no optical out but HDMI ARC does work - useful as a soundbar is almost essential with this TV. apparently has usb recording from freeview feature, never used this but it's usb ports are powered (for chromecast/other dongles) and i've never had trouble playing files from an USB stick on it.

all in all a competent budget 40" but you could get 50" sharp smart TV for £200 price on black friday and i've seen 4k 40" with HDR (sketchily) listed on this site for £250 over the weekend - all these sales will happen again late december.

I've got a 43" version (not the black Friday one) picked up a few months back for the bedroom, paid £179.99. If the TV was used in the lounge it would be going back, picture is ok for the money but the interface is really slow to respond, can take over 10 seconds for any key presses to respond, especially after it first powers on. I've updated to latest version of the software but hasn't made any difference.
