Seems good but a lot depends on how the screen (and 3d) actually performs. Thanks for posting.

this what i would like to know how the 3d performs and how good is it. A bit off topic do people use 3d tv a lot is it worth what you pay for in price? do people rarely watch 3d content or use it a lot? if you want to buy a cheap 42 inch tv you might be able to pick them up for about £200. Or even bigger brands sometime sometime £100 difference in price between 3d and non 3d.

Brought this TV at the weekend very impressed with its features so far

It's really down to personal preference about the 3D. It's much like the HD side, in that even though you may have a TV that supports it, it will still depend on what's actually being broadcast. Since relatively little is 3D, there isn't that much that you can use, even if you were interested. I will admit, however, that it was nice when I played games on a 3D TV. I'm not that fussed on 3D anyway, and the glasses thing kills it for me. When they start rolling out the ones without glasses, I may look into it.

I have always found the 3D to be excellent on Blaupunkt TV's when in use. With Full HD as well, you cant go wrong with a TV this cheap! Definately getting a HOT rating from me!

I have always found the 3D to be excellent on Blaupunkt TVs and considering it is Full HD for only £279.99 it is an absolute bargain! Definately HOTHOTHOT!

Guys I bought the 32inch version of this last year to use with my pc I turned it on it lasted 2 mins in real time screen blacked and wouldn't come back on so returned and spent an extra £100 on lg led instead and its awesome anyway my point is I may have been unlucky or maybe the build quality isnt that great but if you can stretch your budget I would recommend s better brand as I think blaupunkt should stick to stereos

OBVIOUSLY you were unlucky... If we were to judge all TV manufacturers by the ridiculous standard of "one faulty unit and you're out" we'd have literally none at all.

I know a few people with 3D TV, apart from the initial excitement of the whole thing with glasses etc they have soon gone back to regular tv, also most of the glasses end up broken or faulty.

Either made by Vestel or UMC I believe - on previous listings, people were impressed with the 3D performance.

shame the bezel is a bit on the big side.

The 32" 1080p Blaupunkt performed fantastically, they they released and inferior 720p version. No idea, it depends what panel this uses, if it's an LG 3D panel then it's properly going to be pretty good. The main problem on cheap 3D TVs is crosstalk and once you see it and get used to it being then you can't not see it and it becomes an annoying distraction. This is the reason I sent my 42" Finlux 3D back to Amazon. This should be constructed by UMC (Universal Media Corporation) in Slovakia.

You're right on the 32" 1080p TV they do it is excellent, not sure about the 720p one they do, but I expect that must use a different panel.

anybody tried the USB yet - does it play all formats -- AVI's MKV's etc?

sold out??

Thanks

Made by Vestel (mediocre Chinese electronics company), with a Blaupunkt badge on it.

Never hot in a million years I'm afraid.

i recently bought 2 weeks ago instore sainsbury @320, neat tv no issues and 3d works well.

it is FHD or HD ready? in their website said HD ready but the resolution is x1080

I bought a 3D TV a year ago. Used 3D for a week, testing out the games and films.

Haven't touched it since; it only gets used if a visitor fancies a go. Its a fad...don't buy into it unless you have small children who are easily amused.

confuse man

I got the 32" version of this TV and although it is slightly higher spec it is the same as a 32" Technika TV i got out of Tesco. Even the remotes are the exact same.

Never had a problem with either right enough.

Good work mate.

For those of you over the age of say 35, probably 40, don't be fooled into thinking this is a Blaupunkt product like the ones you remember (some of thee best car audio there was esp. for build quality). It's a name sold to the Chinese.

I have the 32" LCD version which I bought last year.

The 3D on it was pretty impressive when I tried it but I agree with drummerdickens - I don't really make use of it.

The only problem I have with mine is some backlight bleed but it's something which can affect a lot of LCD / LED TVs

Saying that you can't go wrong is a fairly rash statement.
Are you quite sure that all TV's at this price are worth the money?
If it ends up in the spare room because it's not good enough you have well & truly "gone wrong". If you then have to spend more money on another TV you have well and truly gone wrong.

As has been pointed out here before Blaupunkt ain't what they used to be.

i have an lg 42" 3d tv . and 3d blueray dvd player. watching films done in 3d like avatar is amazing but watching things that are upscaled to 3d are not as good to pretty rubbish. sky 3d is the same , some amazing others cr~p.. sure blaupunkt should be ok. hot deal great price

Firstly Vestel is a Turkish Company!

Secondly this TV is made by UMC in Slovakia.- they also make some tesco technika models

The panel is an LG polarised 3D passive diplay that uses the same 3D system as your local cinema.
Thus there is nothing to go wrong with the glasses - if you sit on them you can buy another pair at your local cinema for £1.

Apart from some content on Sky Movies and Lovefilm/Netflix there is little 3D content even on VOD etc. If you have a 3D Blu Ray player then there is a resonable catalogue of 3D films available on this media.

On some programmes the 2D to 3D emulation works well on my LG 3DTV

The brand name is still held by a German company who contract UMC in Slovakia to make TV's for them
