Ok guys, its a Full HD, LED, 3D TV at 42", a good solid brand (Blaupunkt), they used to make some pretty sturdy stuff in the day and are based in Germany. Sainsbury's seem to have a stonking deal here, I believe its collection only....Fill your boots!

picture on sainsburys website says HD ready but description reads full HD (same on other tvs listed under their tv offers). Do you know the model number of this?

Like Polaroid brands are not actually Polaroid it is in fact ASDAs own brand. Although it does not mean the quality is bad !

Also you might want to contact a mod as you've spelt Blaupunkt wrong in the title
They don't.
They have licensed their name to other manufacturers (UMC Slovakia etc.)
I too had a Blaupunkt car CD player some years ago and was really impressed. I seem to remember going to replace it a few years later and the range being really reduced and ending up with something like a JVC. I think they stopped being a serious "independent" producer of quality audio gear sometime in the Noughties, even if their stuff was actually manufactured to their specifications, out east, for some years before. I think perhaps that the quality of Chinese made stuff is so good now that the "brand" is the only thing that matters to us consumers.
Blaupunkt is actually Blue Point, thats why the blue dot on the logo!
That's the non-3D version in the other thread, Sainsbury's do have a 32" 3D version of the TV in this post which from memory I recall was about £199.99 when I was there yesterday (_;)
Haven't seen anything to say it has a 3-year warranty...nothing on the box? 42" 3D Samsung TV at Sainsbury's for the same price? NO WAY! They are not similarly priced!
I was informed in another thread that these are Turkish made TVs.
!!!!
Really? Can I have WHUFC on it?
£34.99, for a feature that should be on the tv already if it is only a software/firmware upgrade.
Only problem ive noticed is a couple channels sound is a bit dodgy when at a certain volume and higher, most noticeable for chanel 4 and E4 ect.
Great picture
Sound quality poor, were thinking of buying a sound bar to see if it helps.
Tinny & vibrates when at a certain volume
Looks like you should visit your GP, that doesn't sound healthy at all.
Yes because the quality is the same.
if we were same quality as this tv we'd be mid table. However, I am thinking more like my old Black and White portable tv with a coat hanger for an aerial if really want comparisons.
Voted +HOT on Price / 3D / 1080HD & Value for money!
