Was looking to replace a broken digital radio in my shed. Just seen this in Sainsburys so thought it worth trying for £9.

Sound isn't bad for a small unit, plus it has a USB charger outlet too.

Currently showing on Amazon for £24!

(Many thanks, Mods for tidying this deal up for me!)

Great price. I paid £11 for one last week (different model)

The shelf sticker did say reduced from £11 but even that seemed strangely low for a DAB unit.

BTW this was in Monks Cross, York - 2 more on the shelf.

The high quality Blaupunkt as a German company is defunkt - it no longer exists.

Now It is just a badged name used by a factory that makes other cheap poor quality electric devices - they come from a Slovakian company which also makes televisions with Akai, Alba, Bush, Goodmans, Sharp, Technika and Tevion badges. i.e they are in house products ie for Argos, Sainsbury, PC World etc just made to the price point dictated to by these companies:

Worth it for £9. I bought one. Excellent sound quality, plenty of volume. Only issue is the brightness of the display. Still too bright even on the lowest setting. Can’t go wrong at this price.
No such reductions in the big Sainsburys in Greenwich Peninsula :0(:0(:0(
They really should block deceptive brand trading like this - it sounds German, it isn't.

There is a difference between outsourcing a design, and just selling your name to the highest bidder.
These are good if you run a B&B. As a guest I find a radio with a USB outlet very handy.

So we don't buy Akai, Alba, Bush, Goodmans, Sharp, Technika and Tevion, as well as Blaupunkt ....... just in case
But then again, it has a 12 month warranty with Sainsburys.
What do you want for £9?

I'm not saying don't buy - all im saying is this is no different from any other no name brand. In fact it is either the exact same or very similar to anything like a sainsbury or tescos or argos or pcworld labelled basic product. Whether it is a good price is up to you.

Excellent value, just what I was looking for, thanks
My local finally reduced it to £9 from £11!
Just found one of these in my local Sainsbury’s. Excellent sound from such a small device and a bargain for a DAB radio!

4 in Sainsbury’s Brookwood (Woking).
Looks like they've been restocked. My local (Leicester Fosse Park) has a couple of dozen available this evening.
Just an update, our sainsburys in Bicester still has them in at £9, I bought one last night
