Very good price for descent noise cancelling headphones.
A lot cheaper than Bose, AKG, Parrot Zik, Monster Inspiration, Sennheiser,...etc.
Good reviews too: hardwarezone.com.ph/rev…nce

Hot!

Thanks, I have been eyeing these for a while now. Missed the offer of £45 (few months back) and Amazon have been increasing the price by £10 with each order placed, this afternoon they got up to £79.99 ....!

Same here, I missed them at £46.99 Christmas time and, as you rightly said, the seller increased his price to £79.99 on both Amazon and eBay.

Taking a punt on these, 18 hour flight coming up so hoping the Amazon reviews ring true.

Good find OP, think you deserve a little more heat.

PLEASE NOTE WE HAVE EXPERIENCED AN UNPRECIDENTED NUMBER OF ORDERS FOR THIS PRODUCT

ORDERING IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED UNTIL WE CAN CHECK STOCK AND ENSURE CURRENT ORDERS CAN BE COMPLETED

Hi

I'm afraid we are now out of stock of these, they really were a sale item on limited stock so aren't likely to be back at this price any time soon!

Sorry if you missed out

We are the official distributor for Blaupunkt in the UK and don't sell on Amazon so any price you find on there is not direct from us (and likely not through the UK channel).

The ANC on the headphones I received just does not seem to do anything. There is a hissing sound when it is on full but background noise e.g. TV noise, is still heard the same with the ANC on or off.

The Amazon reviews seem to suggest other customes found background noise to be vastly diminished and TV sound was not heard at all with the ANC on.

I've tried them connected to a device and also without wires like the manual states.

What have you experienced with these, as I think my headphones are faulty?

I received mine and have been using them for a couple of days - extremely happy with them.

With regards to active noise cancellation headphones, I've not seen one so far that will eliminate the TV sound, even the £299 Bose ones. ANC is for periodic sounds like train noise, Airplane engine,...etc. Periodic sounds, even complex ones, are easier to cancel than random sounds due to the repetition in the wave form. Please have a look here. The Blaupunkt *reduces* background noises coming from a few metres away.

The volume dial, underneath the ANC on/off button actually controls the ANC level, not the volume level as I first thought. If you haven't tried that yet, put it at the max and try again.

I took mine to work on Monday, compared it to a colleague's £299 Bose QuiteComfort and couldn't notice much difference. He was shocked to know that I only paid £46 for mine. Don't get me wrong, the Bose headphones are better, they're just not much better to justify the difference in price, in my humble opinion anyway ;-)

I use mine with ANC off most of the time, as the sound quality is amazing, and only turn ANC on during travel. I haven't tried mine in an airplane yet but I'm quite sure it will be good.

Thanks for the information. The sound quality is very good on them.
