£2.49 per pack in Home Bargains for essentially the same thing, just different brand. I couldn't believe how much The Range were charging for these.

Not great at given off heat either I find. Home bargains does kiln dried logs a about £4

The kiln dried the caloric value is not as high, less heat output.
The heatlogs great on wood burner, and cooker, greater heat and last longer. Kiln dried logs low heat output. The weight are only around 9kg, at 20 % moisture.t
I used one blazer log on a BBQ for cooking, a lot cheaper than charcoal

+1 been using these from HB for last month or so on a log burner, burns well, lasts ages and can be easily broken up to start a fire from scratch.

Unfortunately they've stopped selling them online now. We went to two stores last week and managed to get another 20 packs so that should hopefully see us alright for the next couple of months!

I can strongly recommend these Home Bargains briquettes - I've bought around 50 packs. They burn long and bright, particularly if you break them up when they have expanded. The heat they give off is higher than logs, as their calorific value is often higher. Further details at the Verdo web-site HERE.

well done. Still showing in stock as Verdo Wood Long Burning Briquettes (6 Pack) for £2.49 for me but I didnt go through to checkout.

Can also recommend the Brazier Multipurpose Smokeless Fuel 10kg Sack @£3.99 (£5.49 at BnM) for those really cold nights or when you want the fire to stay on overnight. Housecoal is £12 a 25kg sack where we live and this burns hotter, slower and longer.

Keep warm folks!

Ah, you're right! I wasn't searching for them by name, I thought they just called them "logs" in the title so was looking for that. X)
