there are no words to describe how much love for bleach i have

mod

Baaaaarggggaaaainn

As someone who only watched up to around episode 30ish a long time ago, how has the anime turned out up to now? this plus the other 3 series collections make for a cheap re-watching.

it is indescribably amazing now!
you just wouldn't believe it if i told you!! ><
very much worth getting the first few box sets, and then continuing on from there up to where it is at the moment
because it is INCREDIBLE!

Hmmm, personally I've not been a fan of it for a long time, with the poor, out of place fillers (literally out of place, they have no place in the bleach timeline), the 13 minute episode if you factor in OP, recap and ED, and it just being generally poor.
It'd be a nice idea to get up to episode... 65-70? The end of the SS arc, that was very enjoyable.

have you been watching it recently?

'cause (obviously not going to include any spoilers) if you were a fan of it in the beginning, i think you'd like what they've been doing lately.

i know the fillers are out of place and have pretty much nothing to do with anything, but it's worth the wait to get to the really good episodes.
even if they only include 13-15 minutes of new material ^^
i still love it.

I only read the manga now, which is superior (but not saying much), and the recent content is full of more deus ex machina than an episode of yu-gi-oh.

lol

Not that it isn't good fun for kids! The anime is edited to be more suitable for younger ages, it's just a little unbelievable in the world that Tite created. Too many plot holes and a bit too much asspullery for my tastes.

wasn't Asspullery one of the Arrancar?

Not so sure I'm looking forward to the new arc after Aizen....

someone recommend me some animes for grown ups. im out of touch

Depends what sort of stuff you're into but judging by that list I'd say: Black Lagoon, Witchblade, that sort of thing.

Witch hunter robin, full metal alchemist, death note, code geass, etc

thanks =] ill look them up

+1, but only if you're ok with subs.

If you want it dubbed (or just prefer physical media) HMV has Vol 1 for 8.99 or the Series 1 box set for £37.99 if you use the code 3OFFHMV25 to get £3 off a purchase of £25 or more.

But it doesn't, I get that it's all down to preference, but bleach is mocked continually in the manga / anime community, and with good reason.

Ghost in the shell was a nice one. Akira is always a good recommendation. Kurozuka seems to fit that category too.

Bleach is considered a 'guilty pleasure' by many, loved by many, avoided by many, but only actually mocked by elitist Anime snobs who think themselves above it. The same people who coined the phrase Narutard to describe people who like Naruto, i.e. closed minded idiots who give anime fans a bad name.

Each to their own I say.
