Blink wireless security cameras have come down to their lowest ever price, according to camelcamelcamel

I have this system and Arlo, and find the Blink to be easier to set up and use on a daily basis, with all the functionality of Arlo. Plus adding cameras isn’t as expensive as it is with Arlo, the cameras are smaller and lighter so easier to position, run on AA batteries rather than the expensive CR123. Arlo Pro has a siren base unit, and I believe a siren unit to be coming out soon for Blink also.

Has anybody used these? Are they any good?

If its the same models I brought for £100 a few month back found on HUKs then its only 720p so not great pictures but does the job. Easy install. No night vision I believe it uses a flash and then capture technique to make up.

I then brought some 1080 PTZ cameras with night vision as little extra and the difference is noticeable.
So If you only wants something basic and dont need 1080p then these will do the job but has been cheaper previously.
Hope this helps

I've already decided on the Blink system. Just hoping an XT offer arrives really soon

Have been using the system (1 hub 2 camera) for about 6 months, maybe longer now, bought for £149 from amazon. For an unintrusive system I quite like it, the notifications are speedy and the customization is pretty good too. Picture quality isn't the best in the world but you wouldn't expect it to be at this price.

For context I'm using it to arm when I leave my property and disarm when returning (or within 50m say), using indoors as an alert for movement. As mentioned there is no night vision but uses a bright led to illuminate then capture, which seems a bit old school but does the trick as long as there are not edges next to the camera as they can reflect.

It's a little on the pricey side I'll admit for what is effectively an ip camera but, it's all wireless and I haven't had to charge the units yet and they've still got plenty battery left considering they're triggered at least twice a day with recording (due to my own deliberate scheduling which needs fine tuning!).

Would recommend.

Apparently they do not work with BT routers according to some reviews, otherwise I think I would of gone for them.

Good price, good system too, want a couple of the blink xt outdoor ones myself now.
