Features & details
Answer your door, no matter where you are, from your smartphone with 1080p HD day and infrared night video, and two-way audio.
Experience long-lasting battery life, customised alerts, privacy settings and more.
Get alerts when motion is detected or someone presses Blink Video Doorbell. Connect to existing doorbell wiring or pair with a Sync Module (sold separately) to engage live view and two-way audio on demand.
Choose to save and share clips in the cloud with a free trial of the Blink Subscription Plan, or locally with the Sync Module 2 and USB drive (each sold separately). Trial valid until January 2023. You will be notified at least 30 days before your free trial expires with information on how to subscribe.
Designed for every home, go wire free or connect to existing doorbell wiring to also sound your current indoor bell. Without wiring, you can use your Blink Mini camera (sold separately) as an indoor plug-in chime.
Set it up yourself within minutes, with the two included AA lithium batteries, and then connect to Wi-Fi using the app. The newly designed internal battery seal provides IP54 weather resistance rating.
Works with Alexa: receive alerts and answer with two-way audio. When wired or when paired with a Sync Module, just ask Alexa to answer the front door.
Includes: a Blink Video Doorbell and mounting kit (including screws and fixings). Does not include a Sync Module 2, which can be found in all “Systems” above (recommended for optimal use while on battery).

Don't get confused like I did, the wiring is just for the chime, it does not power the device

Afaik it’s only battery powered. The connection from mains only links to an existing door chime.

    I have one.

I bought this on black friday and been after another one for xmas gifts for friends and family but the price went back up to about £80 Ive set up zones so only activates when someone goes into garden but if phones on silent and someone presses the doorbell its useless

Add a cheap Dot & the Blink skill to the Alexa app.

I got a blink doorbell as I can't hear the traditional chime bell in the whole house and thought getting a notification on my phone would be a good idea. I've found it takes 2 to 3 seconds to notify my phone and then if I try opening the app to speak to the person it can take 10-15 seconds to be able to do that, so it's usually quicker to just walk to the door. There is also times when it just stops notifying me and I end up unplugging the module and plugging it back in (but later find it has actually recorded the video, so it was somewhere between module and phone that it failed).
Generally not impressed but at least I mostly get warned when I'm out of hearing from the normal chime bell.

Same issue with Eufy doorbell, I just head towards the front door, by the time I get to the door the feed has loaded and I can decide whether to open it or not.

    Is this any good?

It’s ok. Same as the Ring doorbell it replaced (sold due to ongoing yearly subscription). I had an existing Blink camera so no more cost for me.

Doesn’t this require a separate module though??? (edited)

This doorbell is good for the price, but it takes ages for the video feed to come up on an echo show when compared to the ring doorbell. I bought my parents the blink doorbell + sync module + echo show 5 kit over Black Friday and they were frustrated that by the time the video came up on the echo show the person who rang the doorbell would have already left. The ring doorbell that replaced the blink system seems to load the video feed a lot faster for some reason (with the same 200mbps internet connection 2 meters away from the router). I suppose it doesn't matter if you don't intend to use echo shows to view the doorbell feed however.

It's because the blink system is trash. This past year it has gone offline 4 times for a week at a time, for what seems to be software rollouts. Do yourself a favour and avoid all blink tech.

Will this work with any traditional plug in wireless chimes or just Alexa. I' pretty deaf and not sure I'd hear the Alexa around the house. Thanks

We have an Echoshow 5 gen 2 & a Blink indoor camera.
Both of these chime. The Echoshow 5 gen 2 also announces motion detection (if enabled). (edited)

Does this come with a chime thingy? Do you need a subscription for it?

Don't come with chime but can buy the indoor blink mini camera(by blink) and use as chime that's how I set up mine.
