I've got these and they're really good.

Free cloud storage and pretty good picture quality.

Suggested 2 year battery life with the included Li-Po batteries. I think it'll be more like a year, but £6 for replacements isn't that bad.

No problems here. Every motion is detected on time and recorded. I just haven't bothered to monitor it as it happens.

I think Ring is a slightly different kettle of fish as its sold to be something you can answer.

This is a security camera with recording functionality and it does have the ability to do two way talking.

I have one and although not lightening quicker it captures well enough to see what is going on. It does say that horizontally movement is captured better than vertical movement so I offset mine to help with that.
Been looking at these for a while now. Only thing thats been putting me off are the reports on poor battery life.
Anyone have good or bad experiences regarding battery?

No problem with my two, I do have them permanently plugged in though. I found the batteries didn't last more than 6months

It's a bit, hit hit then miss. The system is better with an add on camera spaced out to cover a field of view with lapover. Also settings can be changed on app to increase clip length/sensitivity. Don't expect batteries to last long if camera is woken multiple times per day. You can buy a long extension mains cable inc a case that camera fits in. Cost about £18. Low use units should be ok with the lithium batteries but remember it needs a good wifi signal too. Research abit more before buying. I bought the home system and free Alexa dot for £99.
This is not lowest price. This been on sale for £135 for long time. but agree currently lowest price.

No problems with mine. These things are simply brilliant!
I have three of these and they work a treat with no issues of not recording visitors. Picture and sound quality is excellent.
Are these easy to install? I bought a ring spotlight but looks like a nightmare setting up as needs to be connected to my main fuse box
do you get any additional storage with more cameras or all cameras share original storage between them all.
Thanks for posting - heat added. Got 2 of these Outdoor a couple of years ago and think they're brilliant. The battery life isn't too shabby either!

Extremely easy. Just set up and sync with your WiFi - obviously the further they are away from your WiFi the less reliable they'd be, but wehave ours around 25 feet from our WiFi and no problems whatsoever. LOVE these cameras.
Thanks would you have a link to the £99 product you purchased?
Hi guys, how many mobile devices I can download the blink app can everyone view it same time when the is a motion also is it worth getting the Echo show 5 with it, thanks

I've had 4 mobiles work with it.

I wouldn't recommend the show 5. The show 8 is much better, but probably not worth the extra
Cheers OP. Been waiting for a price drop. I went for the 2 camera bundle with echo show 5 for an extra £20, can always quick sell that for £40
I’ve got 5 outdoor blink cameras and one indoor one overlooking the dog area in house, easy to set like that the hub doesn’t need to be plugged in the router but just in a empty socket in the house.

Good picture clear at night bought some micro to usb leads for two of my cameras for constant power feed but haven’t fitted yet. You can get a solar panel to fit them as well for cameras u can’t get power to for £29.99.

163.99 with 2 cameras. Might have to go for that
Got 3 from Argos deal, would not recommend. My YI indoor camera for £20 does better job facing out the window into the garden then this. I already have wifi mesh network so wifi isn't a issue for me and its still bad quality and delayed, its probably worse for lot of people though if you have cameras far away from your router

That would be a better choice.
Ring had issues with privacy as other people could access the video other than yourself, if there is cloud storage in the USA can American companies also access your video if they should care to do so. I much prefer local storage on a pvr in my house with hardwired cameras, works faultlessly 24/7 and has a ups as backup.

I have it for just over 2 months at the front door and never had a delayed response or a false alert.
Decent for the XT2.
I picked up 2 of the double XT packs last year when amazon were flogging them off daft cheap, they awesome little cameras. Even rechargeables last for months (ikea or the high capacity amazon ones)
I have 6 of these cameras, they really are good. Had Arlo before and they kept dropping signal. They 2 year battery life is a bit of a stretch, I would say 6 months in reasonable activity areas. Lithium batteries are around £1 each if you shop around though. I also have the Amazon show which I use as a clock radio, so can view my cams at night on voice command.
Is there anyone relatively smart who can explain why blink keeps triggering on noise (not just visual motion)...isn't it then useless to be used as an internal camera???

Basically I want to install in kitchen and point to garden, but not to be triggered by normal kitchen noises ONLY movement in the garden!!!

Anyone brighter than me who can suss this out?

Best thing to do would be to install them outside in the garden. Do you have the OUtdoor ones? If so, then great - no problem.

Exactly. These kinds of cameras don't do too well through glass, especially at night, so you may continue to have problems. I believe if it is positioned right up against the glass of the window, that's the best.
Interesting note.

For the past 36 hours, I've not been able to live view my cameras. Nor are they recording anything.

I suspect there is a problem with the Blink service.

They're all connected to the hub ok, just no action

Nope that didn't work turning mic off and speaker down has no bearing on the device recording motion solely based on sound!
