I need a couple more bit waiting for the new one as the talk function will pretty much untie me from Ring subscriptions

Where’s the add on 1 camera? I need that one.
Reolink it is then.....
I'd read the reviews before buying this system
I have Arlo how much of an upgrade is this?

Battery life is main benefit I think. Had mine for a year now and haven't changed batteries yet. Also smaller size might be a plus as more discreet. Not sure how quality compares.
You can guarantee issues when it comes to wifi cameras.
Shame they are the old 2017 models
Decent price. I bagged a few of the 2 packs when Amazon were selling them daft cheap to go with my existing ones.
Personally I think they're excellent. Spend a few minutes setting retrigger timings, zoning and clip length and they're fantastic, much better than the first gen.

Rechargeables last about 3 month although show as going flat as soon as you put them in. Did look at those mini solar panels that plug in to USB but most cameras outside the front which is north facing.

Same here - have not had any problems with mine.

Think I've had them getting on for 2 years set at the highest video rate (1080p) and still have not yet had to change the batteries.

Also never had any problems with these or my existing wireless cameras that I also run in the wireless.

Don't know what the bad reviews are for on Amazon (guessing people don't know how these work as moaning about the cloud storage size, but that's more than adequate as these only record for a set time when triggered when armed).
It says these are the first generation 2017 models

Bought one to try out, low traffic area, been perfect for me. Probably not suitable for high traffic areas but that aside I've found the quality day or night to be rather good!

I count the white none water proof as the first gen, the xt 2nd gen and the soon to be released xt2 which had huge issues as 3rd gen.
I was hoping you’d say these are the official 2nd gen. I’d seen the new ones when looking on YouTube and didn’t realise the new ones aren’t out here yet

I have WiFi cameras all over the outside of the house. I have nest iq outdoor cams and nest hello door bell running at highest quality settings - rarely have issues - if you have WiFi issues then the issue is your WiFi not the cameras

Agree. Set any wireless cameras to your 2.4ghz network and it will perform far better through walls than 5.8. don't think these are 5.8 anyway, probably for that very reason.

They won’t be getting anymore of these in as they are the old stock. XT2 is out already in the states and Canada and due out here end of summer. Probably twice the price as these so I wouldn’t wait as these are a real bargain at this price

rarely have issues...but you do.

Never had issues with my hard wired ones.

wifi is a flawed technology, along with being insecure.
@jaydeeuk1 and @Dragon32 how do you find the timing of recordings and sensitivity of the motion sensor? These seem to be the biggest gripes people have about these cameras, especially missing footage because it started recording too late.

I agree, the other complaints about wifi issues and storage are usually from people who don't know what they're doing.

Tbh none of that is too much of an interest I use rechargeable batteries, I was more interest in alert speed etc oh an if the hub can work with a wireless repeater

Can you view realtime footage on your phone or is it only the motion sensed clips?

Real time footage.
Just to give you my opinion of these FWIW...

I’d been after a home security camera system for a while and researched a lot before purchasing the EZVIZ Husky system. My problem was that although I could run cables, 1. I am in the middle of a house renovation and couldn’t really set up a fully wired system properly, 2. If I’m honest I didn’t really want all the hassle of running wires everywhere and then having to rerun them when our work was done. I ran one of the EZVIZ cameras to my front door and tested it for a day and to be honest it worked well but the running the cable for the other 3 wasn’t for me so I returned them and looked for an easier option!

That option was Blink XT. I took the plunge when they were on offer previously and haven’t regretted it, they are so simple to set up and get working, plus having the benefit of not running any wires to the camera definitely helps... I could place them wherever I needed. I would recommend getting the after market mounts as the ones in the box are ok but not great, although one of my cameras is literally stuck with blu-tack on top of our garden light lol!!

They work very well as cameras and the bonus is free cloud storage for all your videos so you don’t have to worry about MicroSD Cards or NAS.

Thumbs up from me!!

I didn’t believe reviews until I ordered mine last time this was posted (one cam with receiver for £49.99)...

Literally a week after - connection problems, inconsistent motion detection or none whatsoever even though live view was working etc.

Going to be contacting support and probably sending it back very soon...
I also purchased the XT ones previously. They have worked fantastically well for me. Good picture quality and no wireless issues. The beauty of these is that they are compact and light but being wireless, I can even post them on a tree facing the front door or the garden shed facing the patio doors ! As long as you have a wireless signal, they can be positioned.

Dunno about these but that wouldn't work with Arlo as the cameras don't connect to arbitrary WiFi networks
