Y cold?
Smokin' hot from me. Thanks!
Is this a misprice? The 2 camera system is more expensive, and the 5 camera system is disproportionately more. Ordered - the XT camera is usually £90-£100

Think it was a special offer....the others were reduced too I believe but gone back up in price.
Same is sure to happen to this 3 system so I bagged one quick.

Not a mis-price.

They were all reduced, including the 2-pack and 5-pack but ONLY for the ones that were Sold and Dispatched by Amazon.

As soon as Amazon sell out of the 3 pack, the price for this will also go back up to RRP as it wiill revert to a third party seller.

If you want a pack, or just want to try them out given Amazon's excellent returns policy, I would order a 3-pack quickly before it sells out.

Right now, it is at a lower price than the RRP for the 2-pack.

Also, Blink was bought by Amazon a few months ago so you can expect more money being pumped into the company and better Alexa integration

I think they are similar to the Arlo Pro but a lot cheaper and use 2x AA batteries instead of a rechargeable battery like the Arlo

Just to say that I have had my eye on the Blink XT and Arlo Pro for a few months now.

The Arlo Pro is more expensive and rarely available with a decent discount.

The Blink cameras are discounted in promos every now and then by Blink on their website.
When they do run a promo, the discount is normally around 15%. The largest discount I have ever seen is around 25% but that is rarer.

36% discount and the additional benefit of buying direct from Amazon (who in effect are the new owners of Blink) is the best deal I have seen on these to date, hence why I bought a set.
Been watching these for a while and could not pass up on this price.

Thanks Mark.

2 camera is available for £149.49! amazon.co.uk/gp/…e=1
No IP rating so not suitable for outdoors IMO.
Ordered the one camera kit for £87.
Currently out of stock but i'm not in any rush.
I already have cctv but i need a solution for the front door which is under a porch.
Hopefully this will save me running an ethernet (poe) cable.
had my eye on these for a while but the photo reviews about the IR light shining so brightly it distorts people's faces puts me off a bit. This is a hot deal tho, no doubt about it.

Oh, you could have also considered a Logi Circle 2 (Grade A) from CeX for same price: uk.webuy.com/pro…wla

Thanks for the suggestion but the circle isn't wireless. It needs a usb power supply.

It's specifically marketed as weatherproof, for outdoor use. It's a shame they haven't bothered to go through the rating process but IP ratings are just an indicator after all.

The two camera xt system that was mentioned earlier says its IP65 rated.
The 5 pack is still available for £330 at Amazon - if you click the link in the OP and then select the 5 camera option it shows it at £499 but that’s from a 3rd party seller. If you look to the right under ‘other sellers’ It’s there for £330:85 from Amazon themselves.
What is the difference between the options of 5 cameras and the 5 cameras xt? The first one seems to be alot cheaper

XT are for outdoors, other ones inside only.
From the blink website :

" Blink XT and Region Locking
Currently, the Blink XT cameras are for U.S. and Canada only. We are working hard to release this product in all other countries where Blink is available. Due to the Blink XT cameras being for the U.S. and Canada only - any XT cameras taken outside of these areas will not work ."

Bought 3-set anyway...
Great...I only need them for indoor so I will be better off going with the non xt ones...is that the only difference? Is the video quality the same?

Black XT is waterproof standard white one isn’t.
ive for the blink xt 3 camera setup and it’s really good tbh
Anyone know if these are Samsung smart things compatible ?
The AA two year battery life is for lithium ones. But I don't think you will get anywhere near that. From Blink website:
* A new set of non-rechargeable AA lithium batteries should last for a total of 40,000 seconds of motion-activated video and/or live video. We define standard or typical use as approximately 10, 5-second video events per day.
I would think they will be triggered much more than 10 times a day! And 40000 seconds is just over 11 hours!

White are 720p and black are 1080p I think

Also white shine a bright white light to illuminate the scene in darkness whereas the black use proper infrared.

The black are so much better, just go for them and save any disappointment down the line.
.there is no such thing as a two year battery...the only way that camera works is by being off 99.99999 percent of the time and turning on via a pir sensor...you will miss lots of motion and any pretrigger motion and you cannot watch it live for extended periods of time..the "2 year battery" lasts...wait for it.....11.1 hours of recordings...lol what a joke..
pay someone to run ethernet and buy a proper camera.
Bought seems a good price
Bought the 3 pack. Thanks OP for posting

There is another review of these along with their competitors in London’s Evening Standard posted a few days ago: standard.co.uk/sho…tml

As previously stated, the Arlo Pro is better but also a lot more expensive.
For example, the Arlo Pro 3 camera pack is £579.99 on Amazon, with this deal, the Blink XT 3 camera pack is £209.95, that's less than half the price of the Arlo Pro !

I am hoping that for the difference in price, these will be nearly as good.

As regards battery life, I think you just need to set them up properly using the app.

For example, make sure the indoor cameras are off when you are in the house so they don’t trigger.

For outdoor ones, make sure their field of view is of your property and does not also catch the road. This way it won’t be triggered by pedestrians or passing cars, only people approaching your door or drive.

For the price though, they are one of the better wireless cameras out there and worth giving them a go
I have the white indoor camera system, very pleased with it. Had the system 1.5 years and on the original batteries still. Using life360 with IFTT to automatically activate the cameras when I'm not at home. When my phone battery is dead and I enter my home the cameras record me entering very well, great quality, and no lag in starting the recording.
