Oooh, great spot!
I still have concerns over these being easy to remove. I guess it depends where you mount them and they are tied to your system so can't be reused on another whilst registered to yours I think but probably still won't stop some scrote nicking one.
Anyone got the link for the amazon offer? I can't seem to get the Dot included?

Yer I was thinking this .
But will mount them around 10ft high .
At least they would need ladders to grab them .

Are those any good for Home Assistant automation? So support recording to local storage (NAS)?
And do they have good vision in the dark?

Oh I didn’t realise they also sold them with the echo dot.
How much does the online storage cost for these?

Tip, make sure you have a strong upload speed on your WiFi for these.
Does the pairing device have to be plugged in at all times?
As far as I can see, you need the hub to make these work? On Amazon, the free dot seems to cancel out the hub and just shows the cameras included?

Oh ok, cheers. I'll take a punt then. Heat added.
i installed a blink xt2 camera with a new echo show 8 yesterday,i got 46 notifications, mainly slugs crawling on road near by..very sensitive so ive had to tweak some settings, also anyone connection to an echo show who gets sound but no video (common problem),go to seetings in blink app and change resolution to save...problem solved .
Ordered 2 of the 1 packs @ £74.99ea - total £149.98. For the extra £14.99 over the 2-pack price, you get an extra echo dot and an extra sync module.

I think the 2 hours of free storage is free (in theory) forever, but the longest you can save any one clip for is a year.
Thank you, mikej xx
Bought these the other day I've got to say I'm disappointed in the quality of the night vision quality. Those £29 EZviz security cameras are much better quality, fair enough they aren't outdoor cameras but for keeping tabs on dogs in taking these back and getting an EZviz camera.
Do NOT buy one of these from Argos I just tried to return it as it does not pick anyone up on my drive. In its original packaging with receipt and they would not take it back as it’s been activated!!!!!
STAY CLEAR!

How can they not take it back you have 16 days before you can't take it back. Why would it be a problem if it's been activated, you just delete your details in the app. I don't think it stated it couldn't return it if your not satisfied.

Hi Lorraine I know what ur saying as these were my thoughts on the matter but I argued with them till I was blue in the face and also called there customer services help desk and fault desk but no luck on taking it back. I believe it’s because they can’t just put it back on the shelf as it’s been opened they would have to send it back to the manufacturer.

But surely it's your right to return items if they don't meet your requirements. The item isn't excempt from their 16 days returns policy. It's not the customers fault they have to send it back. If it's not stated before you buy it that it's excempt from the 16 days returns policy they have to take it back surely.

Again I went through all this and they refused to take it back because It didn’t meet my requirements. So I went down the line of saying it’s faulty and it doesn’t pick up when someone comes into my drive and they still wouldn’t take it back even after speaking to there faults department they said it’s the product isn’t up to scratch yet but yet they won’t let me return it!

That's terrible so you have to get in touch with blink to tell them one camera is faulty. I think it's disgraceful of Argos not taking it back. Even blink take their products back within the 30 days warranty. Thanks for the information I was going to take it back in the next few days but I don't want to be messed around by the Argos staff.

Not problem u might have better luck taking it back than I did! But the first question I was asked was have u set it up?
Obviously I said yes but said it’s not working as expected and then it all unfolded from there. I’ve contacted watch dog and Martin Lewis to let them know about Argos terrible customer services and the fact I’m pretty sure there operating out with trading standards.

Yes it's worth a try it's not as though it's a cheap item.

Definitely not I’ve tried for 3 days to get it set up so it alerts me when someone comes into my drive but it doesn’t work or there at the door by the time it records then if I up the sensitivity it records everything (no movement required)
Tried moving it as well with no luck it’s just not fit for purpose.

I've just had a right ding ding with someone from the Argos chat, she initially said as long as I had my receipt they would give me a refund or replacement. I mentioned you regarding your problems and she changed her tune saying I'd have to get in touch with the manufacturer.

That’s absolutely shocking from Argos customer services I’d try take it back and if they ask if uv used it I’d say no! They have no way of finding out. Otherwise Ull be in the same situation as me.
