Tempted, opinions?

i got the two pack, last year.
i found the wifi was not very good on them, and half the footage was missed by the time to recording started (even with all the settings tinkered with) in my opinion id stay clear and save your £199.
Bargain for three

Really happy with my XTs. You do need decent WiFi coverage in the places you fit cameras (tenda nova MW3 do the job for me) and all cameras need to be in range of the sync module. I have this paced centrally as I have cameras front and back of the house.

Work really well and captures everything (postman, cats, pigeons etc.)

I did the same thing but have no issues with WIFI. Although I have installed a MESH so that will definitely help my connection.

If you have decent WIFI then they will be very useful in my humble opinion.
I have 2 of these. The motion detection is very hit and miss. It'll catch a car going down the road (despite me setting as an area I don't want to monitor) but it'll miss me walking to my car and reversing off the drive. Other than that the video quality is quite good and will be buying a 3rd camera when Amazon has them back down. If you buy these I'd recommend the "Sonomo Blink XT2/XT Wall Mount Bracket" great product and gives you a better range of motion when placing.

I have got 3 of these cameras and I have been very impressed with them. Coverage is good, battery life seems decent and I have had no issues with wi-fi or the cameras not recording (I have 1 positioned at the rear of my property and 2 at the front so they are well spread out). I purchased them after being burgled and they were incredibly easy to set up and I also like the fact you can talk to people through them which is a very useful option IMO.

I would recommend 100%

Check Youtube, shocking night vision quality.2 way audio quality very poor too but not sure if this has been addressed in any recent firmware update.

Same issue with my yi cameras. Everything is perfect other than the fact that it misses out on human detection many a times- the sole point of having the camera.

Was considering buying these here until I saw your comment.
Hard wired mine and they never miss a beat. This is a great price, really don't see them going lower on Black Friday.

Same price at Amazon, if they don't work for you then return hassle free.
Mine are great. No missed detection. No problems with Wifi. Quality not 4K but good enough to identify the person and their activity very easily. No on going costs either.
Same price at amazon. Can also buy one / two on discount as well as the indoor version. I’d rather buy from amazon.

You do know that the XT2 was only released this year?

Must have my dad's I got last year then, XT's he was not impressed with.

I thought I'd have bash at the newer XT2 (must have been this year) and to be honest I found clips half missed and WiFi not good at all. One cam I would say about 6-7m distance from the hub placed outside Was shocking kept dropping connection.
Not down to my WiFi, the Arlo pro2 is fine full signal.

My brother also bought the XT2's from the very deal the other month, and found the very same issues.

Can it be powered through the ethernet cable if you hard wire it? Or would you still need batteries in them?

Hard wire into mains power via micro usb, batteries can still be used as a backup.

No ethernet available, wifi only.
