I thought this film was good fun. Shallow, silly and unchallenging but fun. View it for what it is. Doesn't really matter if you liked CHiPs back in the day either.

Take that 99p and go grab yourself a bag of frozen chips from Iceland or farmfood, you will enjoy that alot more than this total mess. lol

I think it'll only work if you're an existing talktalk customer anyway, or at least have an account with them. Like I say if anyone has tried it and can let others know if it works or not that would be great.

I'm just not going near anything talk talk based, even if it's free lol - too many bad experiences

Don't let going cold discourage you. It happens to us all. It's a good forum though with some expert opinion. With this deal, it was a keen price, but went cold due to format and being available at the same price elsewhere.

Who in their right mind would buy a Blu-ray but download the UV and watch from that vastly inferior format "anyway"? Sure, UV is handy for your tablets & smartphones but HD streaming & downloads just don't have the picture quality contained on physical media like Blu-ray.

Heat, thanks

Does this deal work for some people? Yes.
Is it cheaper elsewhere? No.

Therefore it's a hot deal. Either vote hot or ignore, the cold votes are just spiteful really.

Agreed but technically 'physical' is also a digital format

You should probably be thankful as it sounds like a bit of an addiction that you had. Very happy you finally managed to beat it!

Haha. But since vhs, all are digital.
And it seems from other posts here that these commercial movie shared films are often low and/or non original format (I mean aspect ratio) and probably the sound, (some form of dolby surround sound) has also been compromised/removed etc, in the interests of smaller file size (it's not generally realised how much bigger a high quality sound track makes a file).
So having paid, I feel in full, many times over for these films, I feel fully justified in getting my digital copies from elsewhere, where the quality varies greatly, but can be very good, probably better than from commercial movie sharing sites, and where there is a vast resource of films which are now unobtainable anywhere else.

Not really much of a deal when you can buy it on blu ray for the same or less... digital should ALWAYS be cheaper than physical. Under all circumstances.

Pretty much every Flixster / Blinkbox 2.20 / 2.35 film I have has been cropped to 1.85.
I've emailed Blinkbox about it and got back a nonsense stock reply regarding 16x9 TV's.

Off the top of my head, Lego Movie and The Goonies are cropped on Blinkbox and both look atrocious. IIRK the suicide note in the beginning of Goonies is even chopped off with the cropping.

LOVED the first series, not so keen on the second. Bring back Rust and Marty!

Brilliant series, worth watching

season 2 was exellent too. Not sure why everyone wants disney endings?

Yeah, season 2 was terrible. If you liked S1, you'll probably not like S2. I only watched to the end to see if it improved, and it ended even worse than it started. Huge disappointment.

steve1221

Haven't watched series 2 yet, is it really that bad!

Yes, it is. Lead male actors of Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn. They just aren't the right actors for the roles - each made their characters far too boring. It seemes like the roles were written with Billy Bob Thornton (for Farrell) and Ray Liotta (for Vaughn) in mind.

Watched the 1st series as my OH liked it. She gave up halfway through series 2. Watched it until the end hoping it would improve. It didn't.
