I slept on this game then played in 2019. Was one of the best games I ever played. I got the platinum trophy. What a game. Top ten ever easy.

All about time man. I got the physical for about this price when Argos were getting rid of it. Still this game has to played.
Great looking but far too difficult for my enjoyment. I like a challenge but this is ridiculous. I’ve tried it about 10 times now with all the advice to stick with it. I want to enjoy it.

Took me three attempts (two physical purchases and finally ps+) for it to stick. Never played a souls games before and couldnt get it. Took a lot of time (and patience) to realise that you're not Kratos or Nathan Drake but when you do, whoo boy.
Stuck on the Shadows of Yharnam bosses. I'm surprised that I've got a to there in the 2 weeks I've had it, I was still on the first boss on Sekiro at the same point. But it's a great game once you start figuring it all out.
One of the best games ever If you've played any dark souls games you'll be prepared if not just stick with it and take your time I can't recommend this game enough 🏻

Is there one of them in the Woods? I found Henriette and Alfred in the previous areas, but the one where you need one there's zip.

Pretty sure there is an NPC summons for the SoY

You can definitely call another hunter if you are struggling.
Also Sekiro was harder than Bloodborne for me. The true boss in the fire mansion (trying to be vague to avoid spoilers) was absolutely rage inducing. However having said that I did get better bit by bit and it felt so good when he fell.

Yep done that. Tried and tried to like it. I don’t play like kratos. I know how this game plays but it’s just to hard to make any progress to make it a bit enjoyable. I would call myself a pretty good gamer over the last 40 years but I just can’t even get to first checkpoint. If there is one. Plus you go too far back if you die.
I tried and tried to get into this game, when I finally did - wow it was amazing!!

A very steep learning curve but one of the best games I've played!!

I haven't got that ending and I'm slightly scared to play through it all again. One tip for anyone else playing Sekiro is to copy the save to another slot before you meet your old man where you fought Genichiro. I didn't and I hope it's not spoilery to say the game branches from this point.

This >. I tried, failed hard, got bored, left it. Tried again, failed hard, bored, left it then sold. Tried on PS+, got further, kept at it. got hooked. Completed and then went straight back in to get the alt endings. Never had a game hook like this one.
Gonna start a blind play through of this tonight. Hopefully it’ll be decent

You’ll be in for a ride. Like many have said. The game is fantastic. I played through the whole game offline just a month ago. The only kicker I would give about the game is I lost my save just as I was about to fight the final boss after getting through all of the Old Hunter DLC and had to play through the whole game again as I didn’t do PS+ cloud save.
Second playthrough took half the time of initial playthrough and going through all the required chalice dungeons took a week. Got my Platinum a month after I started.

I can't do dark souls but I managed bloodbourne. It is difficult but not as difficult for sure.
Loved all 4 Souls games but couldn’t get into this. It’s ridiculously hard first level is dreadful game design and the art style is disgusting to look at. Souls has a lovely solemn Beauty to it wheras BB is just grotesque.
My favourite game ever. Logged something ludicrous like 300 hours playing it across multiple save files to earn the platinum trophy. The funny thing is, I didnt enjoy it on my first play. You've got to be mentally ready to start a Souls game I think. I have the same process with every title in the series. Try it, stop playing after a short while, wait a few weeks/months and then lose my life to it for hours and hours.
So, lets see if this gets 4k upgrade with ps5.
I was hoping for the dlc to go on sale but if i get this it still works out cheaper damnnnn im confused

I'd say the 'first checkpoint' is the second lantern, at the top of the ladder after the beginning area... surely you can reach that one? After that, yeah, it throws an -extremely- steep learning curve at you- in fact from what I remember it's the longest 'between checkpoints' section in the game, or it at least feels that way because it won't even let you level up. There is a shortcut you can open up to cut down on the repetition, though, and once you (finally) kill the first boss you can start levelling up and making things easier for yourself.
I don't even have a PS4 but tempted to get this in hopes for it to be playable on PS5
