This action-horror film is set in ancient Romania and stars Kristianna Loken (TERMINATOR 3) as Rayne, a half-human/half-vampire sworn to kill her evil tyrant vampire father (Ben Kingsley). Michael Madsen, Michelle Rodriguez, and Matthew Davis play a trio of vampire hunters who ally themselves with Rayne. Based on a video game, this film offers a lot more blood, gore, and nudity--and less CGI effects--than most of its modern vamp contemporaries. With all its swords, chained breasts, gushing arteries, and severed heads, BLOODRAYNE seems more like a welcome throwback to early 1980s sword and sorcery films. In between the slashing and gouging there are torch-lit castles, nefarious booby traps, blurry flashbacks, and aerial camera shots that swoop down through the gorgeous Carpathian landscapes. There's a number of name actors in bit parts, including Meat Loaf (as a vamp surrounded by nubile naked concubines), Geraldine Chaplin (as a fortune teller), and--clearly having the most fun--Billy Zane as a bored vampire king plotting to take over the kingdom. BLOODRAYNE is directed by Uwe Boll, the man who gave us the video game adaptations of HOUSE OF THE DEAD and ALONE IN THE DARK.

Gothic action sequel with Bloodrayne (Kristanna Loken) now squaring up to vampire outlaw Billy the Kid (Zack Ward). After disposing of the Romanian branch of Vampires United, the half-human/half vampire terminator known as Rayne, relocates to the Wild West in pursuit of her sabre-toothed adversaries. Arriving in the sleepy town of Deliverance to visit long lost friends, Rayne discovers their bodies beside the house, their children missing. Investigating further, she uncovers a plan by vampire leader Billy the Kid (Ward) to make Deliverance the centre of his longed-for empire. Recruiting fellow vampire hunter Pat Garrett (Michael Pare), con-artist 'Preacher' (Michael Eklund), and cannon-for-hire Slimebag Franson (Michael Teigen), the four hunters set about despatching their foes with a relish and vigour not seen since the last outing.

Uwe Boll FTW!!

Other films of games he has ruined, the stars in these films are in them because they are between filming, aparrently he says to them filming will be less the 3 weeks and they say yes

BloodRayne 3: Warhammer
Far Cry
Alone in the Dark II
BloodRayne II: Deliverance
Postal
In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale
BloodRayne
Alone in the Dark
House of the Dead

His films are laughable bad tehy are actually worth watching tbh

Must admit I have seen it cheaper and you can pick it up on ebay for 99p, though best current price.

Also, the synopsis from Borders above is wrong, Kristanna Loken doesn't play Rayne in the sequel, it's Natassia Malthe.

Andy

First movie was watchable if only for Kristanna Loken.
Will probably buy for the fact they where both so bad that they went close to full circle and became watchable at points.
