Seems to be £10 cheaper than its previous best price a month ago. A very tidy and we'll reviewed phone, all things considered - and one I'm personally mulling over vs another Amazon Deal Of The Day, the WileyFox Swift as a first smartphone for my mum. Comments and advice welcome!

Seems a brilliant deal, as a basic mid range phone!
Don't think Ive seen a phone with a fingerer reader this cheap before.
Got my friend a BLU Windows mobile phone last Christmas and still going strong. Seem to be well made and good screens, while not the highest resolution.

Got one at £99 earlier this year for my daughter. A really great phone, though slightly heavier than the Samsung S3 she had before.

Clear and bright screen, quick transition between apps, camera is pretty good in all but really low levels. Came with a screen protector fitted and a clear case in the box. Don't expect any updates though.

At £80 it is very good.

Great phone and seems to do everything other more expensive mobiles do ! Only downside is battery life is not the best, but then I am comparing to lumia phones which have great battery.

I wonder why these are more popular? Similar specs to competition and comes with nice design and finger print sensor.

I actually went with a Moto G4 in the end, but I do think this is a corker for someone who wants to get more granular with customisation and is looking for next gen features at a budget price.

The battery life is awful compared to similar android phones too. It's a common complaint with this handset.

Lasts over a day with good use. Not had a phone in ages that doesn't need charging overnight.

Received mine on Sunday, seems like a great phone for the money, if you just want a phone for day to day stuff, this is ideal.

Got one for my elder bro.

This or a Moto G 2nd gen? My dad complains about lack of memory with his moto G so thinking of this as an alternative

Wouldn't go 2nd edition, I'd go 3rd gen 2gb ram version and then he will have a phone that he should be happy with for a couple of years.

Few good deals on here at the moment. No point scrimping on the 2nd edition if he uses a phone enough that bad performance annoys him.

I own this phone and really happy all round. Battery is fine and so is speed, ease, finger access, resolution. You'd have to pay more to better it IMO.

would pay more for Qualcomm 410... better support in kernels IF you are into tweaking options like in moto g

I had this phone until last week when I left it in a taxi in Paris It really is bells and whistles for the price, however the battery life was horrendous after the first month it diminished. It would rarely get me past 5pm without a charge and as I'm at work all day I'd describe myself as a low user! Very little screen time during the day and it conked out anyway. It became very frustrating, but if battery life isn't a problem for you then I would highly recommend I paid £99 on Amazon a few months back after trading a dodgy Wileyfox Swift. I'm now on the hunt for a dual SIM phone under £200 and under 5" any advice accepted

Try this:
Flip the back off and where the volume button was situated, there will be a motherboard button for sound up and another for down. In between those buttons, is there a third middle button? If so, that is the battery (re) set.

Charge to full, and with the phone OFF, press and hold that middle button for 3 mins. Restart phone.

OP's link takes me to Amazon Prime £139.99 deal no other sellers shown. Nearly double of headline price above. Explanation?

Cant see any such reset button on my phone, the buttons stay in place when you take the back off and there is hardly any room for a middle button between the volume buttons.
