Still about double what I'm willing to pay, personally.
Amazon had the LG at this price a couple of months back
Also, the blanks are obscenely overpriced.
Not worth doing it just yet, i believe.

couldnt agree more

Can anyone confirm what the actual 3d software is?

Looking forward to these coming down into my price range - I'm drooling at the prospect of two dozen avi films on one disk...
Never mind the quality, check the quantity!

On one disk? You've gotta be joking. I'd need a spindle...

Like all blank discs, many claim the pricier the better, but how are we to know how the discs will really turn out 10 years down the line? Most of my cheap CDRs from the 90s that are still working fine.

That's true, I rarely bought any expensive media from the late 90s onwards and have not had any problems, with longevity, I was more wondering about the dye used and compatibility/reliability of burns.

Why this deal has not gotten more heat I do not know, next cheapest price I can find on this drive is £20 more.

This deal has now expired, ordered one myself a couple of days ago, thanks OP for the heads up.

Now back in stock again, odd, was out of stock for one day...deal still on! £1.50 quidco.

in another year or two,, then they might be next gen of disks or maybe electronic memory out

The original drive this thread linked to the Lite-On iHBS112 (OEM no lightscribe function) is not listed any longer on the website, in fact they have just the iHBS212 (Retail boxed with lightscribe function) now listed for £89.99 instead, and in fact it was that drive which was shipped to me for £59.99!! Thanks OP! Nowhere else at present can you find an OEM iHBS112 for less than £79, let alone a retail iHBS212 for just £59
