Went in to Tesco and where all the memory cards are they had about 40 of these on the shelf may be store specific, I think its to promote the Blubox software but just wipe it all off or format it.

Picked up a couple of these the other day, so chances are it's a nationwide price

Got them at Silverburn too, great for kids 1st digital cameras etc......
heat & rep:-D

Some 'basic' 1Gb SD cards in Warwick Tesco today (PNY Technologies brand) - 50p each!

Plenty at Hazlewick, Crawley. Bought 2. Thanks OP!

Stacks in Llantrisant. Bought 2 yesterday. Cannot seem to erase the trial software though.

Saw these so they are widely available and a great price for 1GB.
Cheap enough to post to friends and relatives!

Bought this one though for £5. Not quite as cheap at £1.25 per GB but suited me better.

If your having trouble wiping the software then right click the sd card and click format then click start, that will wipe everything from the card, and theres no stock in Exmouth branch now

Tried that but won't work

Keeps stating that card is write protected - even though it isn't

Had these in Lea Mill Pymouth

Is there a little slidey thing on the side that is set to the lock position? I think SD cards have this do prevent things being removed don't they?

Voted Hot. Bought one today. Plenty on sale at Silverburn, Glasgow.

Yep, tried in both positions. Anyone had any luck in completely formatting the card?

I'd be interested to know if you managed it - I seen these in my local last week and the software thing put me off buying,

Nope, tried everything including downloading Panasonic's SD Card format software.

These format fine, just standard cards with pre-installed software you can delete. Maybe you have a duff card.

My only quibble is I don't think they are very fast cards, but still ok for photo frames and the like.

Have you (or anyone else) actually tried it with this card? Tried 3 now!

Still a superb price even with the software continuing to lurk on the card.

Just bought a couple, files deleted fine.
Also formatted ok.
No files left on mine, 974MB free.
I used a poundland card reader and worked fine, maybe your memory card slot is at fault?

KEG123, just to answer your specific question I have bought 2 of these cards and both formatted easily in my computer. I simply right clicked on the Bluebox icon in My Computer, selected format, confirmed , and it was done, icon changing to that of an SD card.. It would appear that the common denominator is your equipment rather than the cards if you've tried 3. Can you try to wipe them in a different computer? As has been pointed out there is a write protect slider on the edge of the card but I understand you have selected them to Off. Puzzled!

Also formatted one in my camera, no problems, all data is gone

Does anyone have a spare one they could post to me would be much appreciated and i would pay the postage for you no probs. This would be good for my photo frame been to 3 stores near me today in Port Talbot & Swansea didnt even get them in i was told. Never get these deals in these parts always miss out unless there is a good samariten out there ;-)

Thanks for that. Will try again. I've tried in PC and 2 cameras. WIll try a different laptop later.

Strangely, they do show 974MB being free...

Bought half a dozen in Solihull Monkspath today. Plenty more there as they were still marked up at full price (but scan at £1). They are downstairs on an isle end at the front of the store, in a box below other memory cards and sticks.

Wipe/format fine on PC and in camera.

First memory card I ever bought was 128mb and cost £70!!!!

Good luck!

Just back from Tesco in Newport (Wales) and picked up a couple - left two on the shelf for anybody else that needs one.

They are listed as 2.50 rather than a quid but they scan at a pound (sorry no pound sign on my keyboard).

This is the one on the South side of the town near Lidl and the KIA dealers - back of the store in hard plastic cases

It's a bit of a dump that Tesco (the worst I've ever been in to be honest) but at least they had this deal :w00t:

Cheers OP

p.s. both cards formatted (quick format) without any trouble at all and I'm using Vista Home Premium.

Literally hundreds left at Talbot Green, South Wales.

Is there no chivalry out there any more are there no Robin Hoods wanting to help out this Maid Marion get old of one of these I will cover the cost of card and postage.

Plenty in stock at Brighouse today (just above the camera / satnav display). And yes, formatted fine.

Formatted first time and perfectly in my second laptop. Odd.

A few of these left in Lurgan.Don't seem to be shifting.

Still loads left at Glasgow Silverburn...

Worked fine for me.
Formated and tried it in my Pentax and showed about 548 worth of photo space.
I then tried it in my kodak Zi6 on standard HD and it played back a short video fine with no probs.

Cheers for the heads up.

I will put another in the Wii and one in the DSI.

And Wednesday!

All gone now in Brighouse, Halifax, and Sowerby Bridge.

I managed to pick 2 up at my local today - put them into my cheap compact (didn't want to risk the SLR!) and they formatted easily - now completely empty and ready to use!!! Tempted to get a few more for frames etc!

Just got one from my local, will live in my wii.

I didn't spot this deal originally but found the cards when looking for another Tesco SD card deal so picked up a couple, formatted without issue.

John

bought last 5 in tesco purley way. for camera & wii

just picked one up from tesco hamilton leicester, at least another 40 left on the shelf

Bought 4 from tesco extra Aberdeen, they were at the front door on the photo processing counter, marked at £5 but scanned at £1

Plenty Blubox 1gb left this afternoon at Dundee Kingsway retail.

Alas no 16gb HP sticks in Dundee.

Picked up a nice HP 4gb SDHC Micro with adaptor for £5 at Dundee riverside.
