m8 bm800 (easy find for under £10) sounds exactly the same, this one has usb so is a hassle free
still if you desperate to own blue yeti ... its a great mic and this price is hothothot
I have this but a different colour. Amazing and will definitely give you 50x better sound to headset mics and most sub-£100 microphones. It is also very simple to use and works out the box. No software or anything and it has a built-in sound card that you can plug into so you can have a mix with your voice which helps for recording and just talking in general.

If this was the pro version I'd buy it... Still waiting for a good price for the upgrade

A good microphone is a must, these are good, but there are other good microphones for less.

Personally I love my yeti but also hate it for the incredibly fragile mini USB port they still insist on using all these years later. I haven't found the exact replacement part on ebay either so a dead mini USB port means a dead microphone.
not really needed, a sound card with KX softwear, will be better choise.
Thank you. Been waiting for this to hit below £80

What's the difference between the pro version?
Sweet....bought two, one for me and one for eBay
Bought this the last time it dropped to this price. Wonderful mic with outstanding build quality. A definite upgrade from the lapel mic I was using. Heat added!

Pro version has an XLR analogue port on it which is basically a 2.5inch jack with power delivery as well.

Connects to professional mixers
Something many people don't realise about the Yeti is that it has a pretty decent DAC chip inside. So it's basically a USB sound card. The chip it uses is the C-Media CM6400, the same chip used in the Asus Xonar U3. It's not gonna blow any audiophiles away for music, but if you are playing games, it's loud and clear and I use mine with some Sennheiser HD579's and love the sound quality, I tested it against my onboard Realtek 1220, my Sound Blaster Go Pro, and a Sound Blaster G5 and I preferred the simplicity and clarity of the Yeti.

And of course the mic quality is fantastic.

For this price + the game included, it's a cracking all in one solution.

The yeti snowball is good as well you can often pick it up 2nd hand off ebay for around £30. Lots of people buy these mics and realise they will not be a streaming superstar on twitch and sell them.

The pro has xlr on it. So it can be plugged into a system for better sound and can be used in a more professional way. This one and others have just USB. It's still amazing but is more for online stuff and streaming.
Is this a good idea for say YouTube videos? Any good webcam ideas to complete the package? Am I better off with a ten quid mic and my iPhone six camera? Am I asking too many questions?

You could probably get away with the your iPhone camera and maybe a lavalier type mic.

Personally I am waiting for the Rode Podcaster or Procaster for that matter!
Cheers, I will have to do some research on all this as I would like to start a channel.
Oh and good luck with the bagger baiting.
Snapped one up, was going to pay £80 for a used one , wildlands is just a bonus
Why it is a deal, it is same price last 2 months and it has been shared in here already, cold for me to share same deal again and again

Yes, this is perfect and will last you a long time. Buying a snowball or something cheaper is OK, but you'll eventually upgrade... This one will be fine.

It also comes with a stand. Getting a better one will cost a bit as they don't use standard mic stands... Sadly. But for a YouTube video or streaming this is perfect and this is price is amazing

Thanks!
My personal preference is the Samson Meteor. Way more compact than this and a fantastic looking mic. Also much cheaper than the Yeti and just as good on sound quality.
Anyone know if there is a way to trade these games or something? I don't really like the look of either of them. Watchdogs is too arcadey and Ghost Recon seems to be poorly reviewed. TBH I wouldn't mind trying out something like DayZ Stand Alone despite the time they've taken so far making progress.
yeti isnt great it has alot of static and doesent give you good audio anyway
If anyone wants to buy my code for Ghost Recon Wildlands PM me.
