How does it taste...?

Not the most interesting wheat beer on the market. Very little fruit (banana, pineapple, peach) that tend to be present in most german wheat beers. If anything it has a slight antiseptic taste. It's ok in my opinion but not one I'd chase after. Very good value at this price though but I would never pay £2+ for a 355ml bottle when there are so many better alternatives (Erdinger, Weheinstephaner, Franziscaner etc) on the market.

It's quite similar to Hoegaarden.

Can't see it online anywhere. I quite like it...serve with a slice of orange.

Cheers

Perfectly drinkable in my mind. Fill yer boots!

Taste before 'filling yer boots'.

I found it unpleasantly over carbonated with a distinctly sharp flavour. My wife wasn't impressed either. And of course 'craft brewery' no longer means much since they lifted the brewery size test to 6mil barrels/year! Blue Moon is much more a mass produced fizz than a quality beer.

Usually with these Asda cheap clearance lines the label is there but no stock
Found loads of different things in my local one earlier all out of stock but similar lines next to them

When add to basket it changes to £2.01
I love this beer so defiantly want to stock up at this price. Did anyone get this to work??

Nice, love blue moon, thanks !

Usually like wheat beer but didn't like this very much

It's not priced at 56p as I saw some at the Watford Asda earlier and it was £2 something a bottle.

It'll probably scan at that price.

I find it tastes awful, try it first

Hot from me! One of my partner's favourite beers so just cleared the shelves at 2 of my local Asdas (sorry Mancunians!) to surprise him with when he gets back from the football. Shelf price at both stores was 56p, no problems at all going through self service tills.

Guess you haven't tried Samuel Adams, Goose Island, Brooklyn Lager and sticking to your Carling eh?

American local craft beers are pretty excellent!
In fact many are way better than our own

Had it on draft in New jersey. The serve it with half an orange in it.... Tasty enough, beats the pants of ordinary lager.

Out of stock, but I love it, miles better than generic crap like Bud/Carling/etc

Same with Hoegaarden and Erdinger.

My local in Balham serves Blue Moon draft with a wedge of lime in it. Really needs the lime to make it work.

American beers are great! Head to a Whole Foods Market store and gaze at the amazing range of beers they stock. Samuel Adams Boston Lager is WAY WAY better than Budweiser which is horrid. I get Sam Adams by the crate from Costco. Works out about 95p a bottle.

Never seen it in my Costco in Manchester. Which branch stock it and is it a recent addition or have they sold it for ages?

They have sold it for ages. I have seen it in Edinburgh. Croydon and others. Look out for the blue box. Ask behind the till and they can check if it is something they stock or are out of stock.

If you like beers Costco also does a really nice "Ales of England". 6 x 2 beers from different breweries. So 12 bottles in total and usually £12-15 depending on if they have a coupon discount running.

Nice one. I must have missed it each time. 95p a bottle is mint. Majestic do a crate at £30.96 and thats £1.29 so I'll be changing, when I have some dough. Now if only they did Goose Island at that price.

Check out a great doco called Beer Wars (available via torrents) re American beers.

Slightly back on topic, I find that Blue Moon is a good choice beer with curry.

Just been in to Costco Croydon and can confirm Sam Adams Boston lager 24 pack works out at 94.9p a bottle (inc VAT).
