unfortunately, i can't get access to the iplayer 4K footage...only a select number of TV'S support it and my sky q box is not 4K
If you haven’t seen this....it’s stunning. Just amazing.

That’s not a feature lol. Anyway what determines a TV’s price is the real Hz rate and the organic lights technology mainly
That would be a stocking filler for me then (love doing my own stocking!!) Watch with the kids at home then take to school with me as it's a perfect 'filler lesson' activity for my Science students.
This is free to watch on the BBC iPlayer - and also in UHD

And only until January 16th!
Iplayer version is also in hdr on select Lg tv's
I'm fortunate enough to have a supported LG TV and the iPlayer 4k of this is fantastic. I would argue it looked better than any similar HDR offerings on Netflix or Amazon, though it is perhaps an unfair comparison due the source material.
The bluray is superior quality to the BBC iplayer stream as its a higher bitrate than the stream.

Okay 4k then....

I don't understand why people didn't just watch/record the series when it was on TV, you can still download it on Sky from when it was shown as well as going on iPlayer.

To project on a 1080p projector. At least that's why I got it.
BBC and Sony need to sort uhd out. Bought a 2017 Sony TV and it's not supported. Each side blaming each other. Bet it won't get resolved until it's off iPlayer

‘Feature: a distinctive attribute or aspect of something.’

Then please, oh wise one; give me the correct terminology to help further my point that a cheaper TV has all the features I need..

I don't understand that. Why pay a subscription for amazon and netflix but not get a tv licence and get so much for free after that. I have Amazon but I'm currently on a 6 month free student trial. Apart from that I use my Xbox and find websites for films for free. And yeah my bad, i keep thinking Bluray is a type of quality like 4K and HD hahaha...
Great stocking filler. Surprised it is already out on blue ray.
This had it's moments but wasn't much different and certainly not massively better than the first one. I know it's high treason to dis the Attenborough but to me this was more like Déjà vu Planet with added climate change propoganda

You're both right, though I wonder if your Hisense merely accepts HDR signals, or if can actually display them i.e. 10-bit panel?

I dont find much to watch on terrestrial/freeview and Sky was way too expensive and found we watched repeats more than anything, Amazon Video is included with my Prime sub that I take advantage of especially the music!
Netlfix has lots for the kids and I watch Big Bang, Gotham and the Marvel series, depends on your tastes I suppose, I buy a movie if I want to watch it!!
Haha yeh Blu Ray is the disc succeeding DVD

Yeah I see where you're coming from. I still live at home (23) and my parents have sky but i only find it good to backtrack on certain programmes that aren't repeated on ITV player etc. as i can watch them through my xbox for free anyway. I watch the big bang using an online website and occasionally find something decent on amazon but mainly use it for their free delivery service! Sky is a rip off though.

It's not the BBC's fault if manufacturers are not putting out firmware to support the HLG iPlayer uses. 2017 Samsungs are listed as supporting it but I'm still waiting for Samsung to release a firmware update on my 2 month old TV which may not arrive before Blue Planet II is removed from iPlayer. No 2017 Samsung TV can play it at the moment and I don't think they're interested in bringing bringing it to older models. Just laziness/greed from manufacturers.

Wish I still lived at home, save alot more money and Mum did all the washing I had to pay my own Sky at parents though!!
All I had on was comedy Central but that got boring fast, considering the amount of channels there was never anythin worth watching, and was limited to what recordings I had left to watch!!
What website you use?? Ive not been big into piracy since the day BT cancelled my Broadband and read off what movies I had on my PC said Fox may prosecute me 🤯
Should give Netflix a try theres plenty exclusive movies and series and worth watching, they do deals with quite a few celebrities now, Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Tim Allen, Jackie Chan and recently Will Smith
